So perhaps it's the brain adjusting to the English accents. If you're an American (from the North), move to England, fully adjust to listening to English accents, suddenly Irish accents sound similar to Southern US accents to your own perception. Super interesting!
Yeah, i could probably recognise a good handful of different US accents and their relative locations - might make for an interesting thread!

Sorry, i thought you meant Irish settlers (in the US) would begin sounding southern american after a time, lol. I certainly wouldn't get the two confused but, yeah, perception can be an odd one.

My favourite are the Chester names! Or as I like to call them, the Chesters! I don't know what it is, but that name just does it for me! And bots or no bots, I would still like to be friends with the Chesters! I can even imagine going on a cruise with the Chesters.

I also want to give a quick update on my healthy eating plan. It's still going. I think I'm on day 40 something. Possibly day 41? I'm not sure. I probably should have written it down when I first started my healthy eating plan

Even spending the Christmas holidays with the Chesters!

But I think this healthy eating plan has been beneficial for me. Although my sugar cravings are through the roof!

I would now like to dedicate a song to the Chesters!

anyway

Now seems like a good time to stop my healthy eating plan

Don't stop it!

What are the specifics of your specific plan?

I appreciate that, genovese. I would go on. But what with the sugar cravings. And the lack of oomph in myself lately.

As for the specifics of my plan:

I was mostly eating shreddies for breakfast. A cheese sandwich for lunch. And a jacket potato and a pasta salad for dinner.

That more or less covers it. Although I would have liked to have given you a better plan. But what with the lack of oomph.

Chess, I very much don't like the basis of your plan.
It doesn't look sustainable with all that carb high & lows and there's no room for satiety.
We need to have a serious talk young man.

I appreciate your concern, genovese! I was close to quitting the other day, but I managed to push through. And you will be pleased to know that I have started to incorporate more nutrition in my meals. Such as fruit and veg. I also take a multi vitamin a day.

As for the satiety. Maybe that is something you can help me with

After all, you know what I'm hungry for!!!!

But we can discuss that at a later date!

I would now like to dedicate this song to genovese. And of course to a stick of celery:

i'm thinking about all the times in the past I have been stupid and trusted people, and all the times I wasn't paying attention while people were actively engaged in causing me harm. I have been so frickin careless.

It looks awesome Elf!

@ Chess&Junkfood - Gosh, that Dennis Roussos number takes me back. It's made me think of that other Greek singer - Nana Mouskourie

I'm sorry to hear this
Sometimes it's impossible to know who is genuinely trustworthy however careful you are, until it's too late. I suppose the solution would be for us to never trust anyone but then I guess that would also take away the chance of enjoying any human engagement and connection.

I've never used Reddit. Navigating my way around this forum is about as much as I can cope with

I took this enneagram test. I don't hold much merit on these things but i came up as a 4, some parts were spookily accurate, others a little harsh.

Oh I actually haven't tried that test. Recommend any good ones? I'll take one myself now. These are always fun to me.
