I hope that in the next 30 years or so, looking after mental health will become so normalised that young people will look back to how it is now and shake their heads at how things were in the 'bad old days', when mental health issues were stigmatised, seen as a personal problem, and people were supposed to 'get on with it' or just handed some antidepressants or at best 6 weeks of CbT and supposed to get on with it. And us old codgers will just say 'that's how it was in those days'.

Otoh, as a society we'll probably have much more to worry about by then.

You could make a narrowboat out of a marrow and it would be a marrowboat.

We've got a new bloke in our office and he's learning all the delivery routes. Tomorrow and sat he's coming out with me to learn my route.
Don't even think I'll stop for my lunch ,that'll be really awkward for me

Constantly thinking "What am I meant to be doing? I dunno what to do." and "Why don't I do anything properly?" is getting very annoying.

Nervous.

Buggered off to Worthing for a couple of hours to take my mind of anxiety. Bought a nice top and a checked shirt. There's nothing quite like clothes shopping esp in trendy shops where other shoppers are a size 8 to make you realise you really need to go on a diet. That said I had a lovely calorific BLT sarni from M&S

Yeah, it's coming back. Gillian Anderson isn't, though and a few others... but their characters will be replaced. Bryan Fuller will no longer be directing either.

Why are mens socks always better quality than womens?
I bought new womens socks 3 weeks ago and already getting holes in them. Plus they're always really thin material.

Think i'll buy mens from now on.

Are STDs like a badge of honour or something?
Upon discovering that I have never had an STD my bf thought it was rather amusing and couldn't understand how I had made it to 32 years old and never had the clap.

I'm not sure how I feel about this tbh, slightly inferior if I'm honest.

^ Urgh! Happened to me one time in McDonald's, sort of. There were multiple queues, and when I got to the front, no one seemed to want to serve me, and people behind me were having their orders taken. It wasn't even like I was off to one side waiting, I was, like, right there, in the middle at the counter. Makes you feel all tiny and rubbish, doesn't it.

^^ and ^ yes I've found it quite difficult to stand up for myself when I'm at a busy counter and being ignored, like in a pub or at a supermarket deli counter.

Saying that, actually I think I've got a lot better at getting attention in those situations.

Can't stop thinking about how poorly my workplace treat staff. I thought it was a brilliant place to work, but i'm not so sure now.

An apprentice worker, paid about £3 an hour (yes, that's legal - unbelievable) was fired on the spot and asked to leave immediately.
Were they abusive to someone? Did they steal something? Did they expose themselves or something? Are they a criminal?
Haha, of course not. They were a bit rude to a member of staff, and acted a bit informally with something they needed to be more formal with (i'm being a bit vague incase 'big brother' is watching). They are an APPRENTICE for goodness sake. Take them aside, and ask them to improve or something - don't fire them!. This person was actually really nice, and mostly acted really professionally. How can someone be fired on the spot for something so ridiculous? This is meant to be a civilised country ffs.
In reality, I think they just didn't like them, so just found an excuse to get rid. Sounds more like a dictatorship.

In my last place of work, a director got into a fight with another director, resulting in a punch to the face. Did anything happen to them? haha, of course not.

The people responsible for getting rid of this person have surprised me - they appeared to be kind decent people. Yet again, i've been proved wrong.
I now worry that I will be disposed of if I make a silly mistake.

The realities of modern day workplaces.

^ that's troubling to hear. It's always surprised me how this can still happen in the age of unfair dismissal cases but they seem to find a way, if your face doesn't fit then you're out on your ear kind of thing. People form opinions and then create, or go out of their way to find some kind of evidence or justification.

Yes, its very depressing. It seems people are mostly powerless unless they are rich or know someone high up.
