That no matter how unlikely it is, sometimes you do end up passing within 5m of someone in a John Lewis that you've spoken to on a social anxiety forum for years without having met in person, without being certain it was actually them you passed until you've checked with them sometime later.

That the farthest galaxy we have discovered so far is over 13 billion light years away. That to me is mind boggling. I also like that word. I’m going to make more of an effort to say mind boggling in my everyday conversations. As for the galaxy, it’s incredible to even comprehend the sheer distance of 13 billion light years. But to put it into perspective, they say that 1 light year is about 6 trillion miles. Also as that galaxy is an echo of the past, something else might be in its place, like a chain of intergalactic Primark’s. After all, stranger things have happened.

^ Neither of us go to Centre Parcs that frequently, so it's unlikely.

@ biscuits - I think I actually boggled you quite a bit. Like, I know you were with someone else but I have no idea what they look like. I feel like they might have had some yellow on them but that's all I know. (I don't mean any of the puddle you'd been talking about.)

There’s no way you’d pass me in John Lewis. Security stop commoners and street urchins at the door.

^ Where are you likely to be? Where in the world? PC World?

I needed a wee. John Lewis has the best, syringe-free toilets in town. Although, I’m going to find somewhere new to wee after almost standing in a massive piss puddle today. I’m very particular about toilets. M&S look nice, but they have this weird baked bean/old lady smell that I can’t cope with. There aren’t many loos around here.

Yep! I always hope to bump into you on the tube. Then we’ll sing... “Tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme...Beauty and the Beast.” You’re the beauty obv.

I’ve never been to Centre Parks. What’s it all about?

Ohhh. I saw you for maybe two seconds. You saw me for longer? How awkward for you haha. As I approached did the jaws music play in your mind?

^ I reckon I had me a four-second boggle, though time did appear to slow down a bit so it may been more like two seconds in normal, non-oh-shit-potential-sa-nightmare-scenario time.

Ask Jam about Centre Parcs - I've never been either. The closest I've got to one is staying in a caravan in a Haven holiday camp next to family with a Porsche 4x4 that had several bikes hung off the back of it. The dad was called Rolph.

That simply by adding some basil it is possible to transform the normally mediocre cream of tomato soup into something rather tasty and enjoyable

Like a maybe-meet. "I'm going to be in [insert shop here] at 1.00pm on Sunday. Maybe you'll meet me. Maybe you won't." Do you think it will catch on? People could just nervously glance at each other from afar.

A new family of antibiotics has been found in soil!

Soil is teeming with millions of thingy majiggies that have potentially therapeutic compound thingies!

So eat dirt!

That ancient Britons had moustaches

I knew they dyed their skin blue with woad (who didn't?) but I didn't know they had moustaches. Now when I think of ancient Briton all the men will look like blue Tom Sellecks, or blue Burt Reynolds

That the slang term ‘crapper’ for the toilet originates from Thomas Crapper, a plumber and seller of toilets. I thought it was called crapper because people pooped in it. He had a real convenient name! Wait hang on I need to look something else up a minute...

... the word and meaning of ‘crap’ originated from Middle English. I was wondering if it originated from Thomas Crapper but apparently it doesn’t.

ANYWAY

I also learned that there’s a breed of fire breathing scorpions. I just made that up. But it could be true. Do scorpions have mouths? Openable mouths that fire could come out of if they exhaled? I dunno.

The actor who played 'Sam' in 'The Lord of the Rings' wasn't English, he was American, and....

he played 'Mikey' in 'The Goonies'
