It's a struggle doing anything these days, i'm in at the deep end with avoidance issues, i find it difficult to focus on helping myself - looking at property is something other people do.

I'm worrying about women's stuff and wishing I wasn't such a ridiculous, shy child when it comes to talking about these things :/

Today I am knackered and finding work really slow.

I need to work at full capacity to make enough money each month to cover the outgoings.

When I'm not able to I get despondent and work even slower, creating a cycle of gloom!

On the plus side I went to the gym 5 times this week which I haven't managed to do for a while!!!

I used to be the same. When at work I would often find myself quite anxious and hyper aware of things going on around me, then I would be really easily distracted and find it incredibly hard to focus and be efficient. This in turn would make me frustrated, stressed and despondent. I would end up spending most of my day pretending to work on my PC when actually I was just packaging it all up and emailing to myself at home so I could do it that evening and bring it in the next day instead.

Now that I am doing roughly the same but as a hobby and from home I am at least 10 times more efficient and that isn't exaggerating. Not that I am suggesting you leave work and take up your job as a hobby That is a terrible idea.

I do have an issue with confidence in any work I produce (or did at least) so at least at home I could also recheck it over and over too.

Well done on the gym, healthy body healthy mind, I think thats what they say anyway

I do work from home now as I'm self employed!

I only get paid when I work so I have to be working effectively to make enough money.

When I get down I put off doing the work, which creates the viscous cycle of not having enough money > feeling down > not doing enough work > not having enough money > feeling down > not doing the work and so on.

I much prefer working for myself than being in an office doing random tasks for a company. But it has its downsides!

Randomly thinking, what happens when the Internet world meets the real world, like if you're in the supermarket and think I know them from instagram, or a forum, Facebook. Would you speak to them, or ignore them?

ignore I'm afraid.

This does happen to me a bit. Even yesterday I saw someone I knew from school at my kid's dance show. She's on my facebook account & I recognised her straight away & used to see her quite a lot when we were young, out in pubs, we had some of the same friends, but yesterday I just looked past her & pretended I didn't recognise her.

sad isn't it

^ I would and have done the same. If I see someone I know before they see me I will generally make my best endeavour to avoid them. I've been known to go in a direction I really didn't want to in order to not have to pass someone and say hello. The worst is if I'm sitting on a bus and someone I only know casually gets on. If I could shrink under the seat I would! Instead I pretend to have found something intensely interesting out of the window. It's silly, because 10 times out of 10 the person has NO intention to sit next to me anyway!! It's just somehow easier to be ignored if you can pretend you hadn't noticed the person yourself!

It's my eldest's birthday tomorrow, I get so panicky and stressed about people's birthdays, I don't know why.
CBT woman still hasn't replied to my email so I'm panicking about that too.
The tiniest hint of stress and all my instincts are to hide from the world somewhere and cry God knows how I've survived this long as an adult when I still can't cope with even the smallest things.

Hope your eldest has a good day xx

It's such a b*stard living with sa, that the stress of all the things we should be enjoying sometimes makes them worse than ordinary days.

I hope you can enjoy it, just remember how much you've already done to get them this far

Not that I'm in much of a position to give advice, I'm loosing the plot because it's coming to the end of term & there's so many shows & events & trips to cope with & I just want to be somewhere else.

^ Thank you
I think it'll be the last birthday he spends here before he moves so it feels kind of sad for me, everything feels sad to me lately though :/ It's just all changing and nobody needs me anymore, which is a good thing really I suppose, because I'm no use to anyone.

I can believe your sons are old enough to move out, you look too young.

^ My youngest already moved out and lives with his girlfriend. They know that I'll miss them terribly, I wouldn't tell them about my own fears though, I'd never want them to feel guilty or responsible for me. I'm incredibly proud of them, they're both already so much more than I've ever been. Their lives are just beginning and I'm happy for them, it's not their fault that I'm broken, it's just something I don't know how to cope with but I have to.

It would have been my dad's 80th birthday today. It feels weird not to see him. Spent the afternoon curled under a duvet on the sofa.
They also transferred into my account money from his closed HSBC accounts today. That feels weird too and for some really unknown but ridiculous reason makes me somewhat anxious.
