Default The BBC want you to share your stories...

BBC1 are in the process of making an hour long documentary about shyness inspired by the producer's daughter's battle with social anxiety.

Quote:
We aim to create a sensitive, educational and entertaining documentary that will be fronted by the Welsh comedian Rhod Gilbert who, despite performing stand up live in front of thousands of people both in arenas and on TV, still suffers from moments of debilitating shyness. *For example, he still struggles to eat in public and spent his university days buying food from the local garage because he couldn’t bear the thought of sitting in the communal canteen (even though his parents had paid for the dinners upfront).
The producer is keen to find and talk to people whose lives are affected by shyness - and is particularly keen to reach out to those who might find it hard to leave the house or put themselves forward for work etc.

Filming is largely taking place in London and Cardiff and she would love for you to contact her with your own stories around shyness and anxiety.

The documentary Facebook page can be accessed here - Rhod Gilbert Stand Up To Shyness if you wish to send a message or find out more.
