Sculpture gardens and summer meadows.

Without stimulation and structure its very hard to stay motivated or have any kind of enthusiasm. Its so easy to get into the mindset of wanting to sleep later in the day, not leave the house and hide away, to want to give up.I often feel hopeless when I wake up and worse. I therefore forced myself to go out several times again. Its only a minor help though and does not have any long term beneficial effects. Its getting harder to do though.
First I went to the sculpture exhibition. To be honest a lot of sculpture and modern art I find pretentious crap in that it appears to have no aesthetic value or merit and it is hard to think of the artist as having any talent either. This sort of thing of which there is so much is no more interesting than a pile of bricks to me and looks like it could have been taken from a builders skip. The artist is probably still rich though.

However this is far more interesting. Its much easier to imagine the artist as talented.I think they still intend to put it actually in the water nearby so the lily pads appear to be floating on the surface.

I also like this giant bird of prey.

In other news this week the Commonwealth Games baton visited LEICESTER on Tuesday.I felt quite awkward and self conscious waiting for them to arrive but stayed anyway.

I ended the week visiting the horses in the meadow just out of the city. I love to see the foals at this time of year and baby birds too.Its easy to get out when its warm and sunny but this week looks like another one of grey cloud.I wish we would have a better summer for a change.

Maybe that is the intention although its more likely to freak people out when its not in the water as you can see far more! I will look up who it is by and more information on it once its fully in place as they usually produce some kind of guide.
