    Stranger in a strange land.

    Whitby! Looks like a lovely place to visit and so atmospheric. Love the harbour shot. And the gothic Abbey. Hear you 100% on the stress of travelling. That sounds an epic journey esp as on public transport, hope the benefit to you outweighed the inconvenience. Buses turn my tummy over too I have made it 20 miles out of town in the last two years so reading this is a true inspiration, hope you are well rested and ready for more adventure.

    I think I would like to live in woodland if I could get enough food. It seems far more natural to me than city life.

    Thanks for the replies. Its quite a smallish wood now but a hillside full of bluebells in spring is still one the things that makes you glad to be alive.

    I can certainly relate Indigo- I'm really glad the holidays have come to an end as people have been everywhere these last few weeks. Brilliant photos as ever- I particularly like the sheep.

    I can relate to the feeling of being alone amongst people and how painful the contrast can be, I think this is especially tough at holiday time, when others are spending more time together in families and groups.

    Your wildlife photos are amaazing, such a gift! Do you post them elsewhere on the internet? Thank you for sharing these wonderful moments.

    That is a truly beautiful image, thank you for sharing. Are those wild woodland anemones?

    I can relate to the deep peace available in nature and what it can mean to have a special place to visit.

    Other people are like mirrors in that they tend to reflect what you feel about yourself. Your head is in a bad place right now but if you could be kinder to yourself you would see their attitude change. Deep down you are a good person so keep telling yourself that. Never give in to despair. :rubhead:

    Thanks, some people mock such an animal bond as its unconditional love and so not earned like with humans but then dogs are not judgemental, backstabbing and traitorous either.
