Perfectionist expectations = Chronic Procrastination

Posted 24th August 2014 at 00:16 by iTz0kt0Bu

It would be a lie to say today went well. I spent the whole day in my room with my smartphone. It's times like this where I question whether or not I would be better off without instant access to the internet.

I was thinking of going gym today but didn't due to anxiety and because I don't really know what to do, how to do certain exercises at the gym. Instead I expected to find answers online and before I knew it I had spent the whole day online. I didn't get any really effective answers from looking on gym beginner workouts online, I did get a few tips though. The ironic thing is that I would probably learn more about what to do by going to the gym and maybe asking for advice or help and this would only take few minutes.

Today made me remember that I am a total novice to the gym and actually exercise. So I shouldn't expect to have a completely perfect workout routine, especially if it is of my own work. I need to allow myself to make mistakes. I would have thought that past experience has taught me that I shouldn't expect learning to be a very neat process.

Anyways tomorrow morning is gym and I know to tell myself not to read advice on gym workouts that I find a tad confusing before going gym.
