Losing myself and coming home again

Posted 28th May 2014 at 09:08 by Star Rainbow

I lost myself again. I can only make that comment when I recognise the lostness, usually that means I am on the journey home.

Shall I describe the circumstances that led to the separation? Somehow that doesnt feel relevant. They are floating, causal factors, that's all. It can be this, or that; he said, she said, I went here, I went there.

The basic equation is - overstimulation + too much activity/people =get tired and over stressed. Feel tired and low. Try to fix the feelings/escape the circumstances. Taking false refuge = temporary bliss and relief. Having to clean up. Recognition, remorse, return to self.

The work is to allow, allow, allow the wretched stinky mood, the awful all pervading tiredness. Let it be, rest and allow the body-mind to recover and regenerate without intervention. Staying present, without getting in the way of the healing.

Fundamentally, what sorts me out is a shut-down and reboot. Stay at home, sofa or bed. Lower the blinds. Turn that phone off!
Do not eat junk food, attempt to exercise or get anything done.

Non-action can be as powerful, and as necessary as action. Sometimes, inaction is right action.

OK well if you have followed that abstraction, welcome to the labyrinth of my mind mwa ha ha!

I'm partly posting this as a sticky note to myself, so I can return and visit my own 'wisdom' Ha!

Hoping that your day maybe peaceful and steady.

Thanks Mark. I had to surf another huge wave of turbulence last night. Chaos imposed from outside leading to intense anxiety at a time when I was already fully depleted. Feeling battered, but I followed my own advice lol and just let it be awful and hope I would wake up feeling better. And I just about did, but hope today is calmer sailing!
Really need that rest and recharge!!
