Meeting an old High School Friend

So today I met an friend I hung around with in High School. I was also meant to meet another friend, but he didn't turn up. Our group was known as The Three Musketeers.:d
Prior to meeting my friend I was super anxious as he invited me to a pub and I don't go pubs. I thought that this would probably show the lack of social life I have. Anyways meeting up with this old friend went much better than I thought it would. I forgot to bring ID, just shows that I don't go clubbing or pubs much, so we ended up eating Chinese. We talked about some High School memories and what we are up to now.
He said we should keep in touch. I'm alright with that but also need to remember to be my own person I guess. The reason I say this is because, my High School years were the years that I suppressed myself and also was a perfectionist as I thought being perfect at art and some other activities would give me positive attention. This stopped me from finding other school mates that I could connect with. He also picked on me towards the end of High School, probably due to personal issues at the time. Certain aspects of his character are very different to mines and I guess that I don't want to have to suppress myself to be ones friend, so I have to be honest and open with who I am if we do keep in touch.
