AwesomeLove the velvety texture of the new antlers on that young buck. Great to connect to our indigenous wildlife.

Random Musings,restless piles
Thanks star rainbow.
I have started to explore different ways of thinking in order to cope with day to day living but often find myself regressing to my previous default position after so many years of that state of mind.
I think it is possible but am beginning to believe that much success or happiness is as dependant upon luck and circumstances as anything else. Unfortunately after using forums for so long it has if anything persuaded me that there are not many people on the same wavelength.
Thanks for your support. I hope you are also OK.Posted 11th July 2014 at 19:54 by indigo777 -
Random Musings,restless piles
Hi Indigo, I would like to offer some support.Quote:I feel sad and hopeless on most days. I feel an emptiness and a longing and a fear of my worst dreams all coming true.
It's not my place to come in and adjust your reality or offer solutions, but my own progress stems from finding a different way to relate to my suffering. From 'misery' to 'suffering'. There is kindness and compassion to be found and felt, and received from gentle others. And from oneself, that has been part of my path, cultivating self-compassion and kindness.
I wish you really, really well. There are supportive people 'out there' who wont criticise and reject us but who can care and love us through this. Sorry if I have spoken out of turn and I hope you are feeling some freedom and peace from those heavy states of being and difficult thoughts today.Posted 11th July 2014 at 06:41 by Star Rainbow -
Sculpture gardens and summer meadows.
Maybe that is the intention although its more likely to freak people out when its not in the water as you can see far more! I will look up who it is by and more information on it once its fully in place as they usually produce some kind of guide.Posted 16th June 2014 at 22:50 by indigo777 -
Sculpture gardens and summer meadows.
Hi Indigo
I agree that the bronze of the woman would look better in water, esp given the classic symbolism of lotus. I wonder also whether it might look Ophelia-esque and freak people out ?Posted 16th June 2014 at 14:06 by Star Rainbow -
The Wisdom of Crowds
Quote:'I often force myself to go out rather than hide away but now realise that this is in no way a cure or even help any more'
Indigo, I find this thought quite liberating? True for me also, I prefer to extend myself socially when the deep and true inner impulse arises as a fresh thought or intuition, rather than imposing action on myself.
Hmm, I also wonder if we think we should be doing things all the time to help cure our SA and we then become obsessive and forget there is nothing wrong with alone time as well. The mind becomes confused under constant stress.
Quote:Go gently, I think it has to be OK to be where we are. The deep sensitivity and awareness you appear to have as expressed through nature connection is a tremendous gift.
Quote:I'd like to believe that at some point this sensitivity and connection could be expressed in relationship with more people and accompanied by a sense of safety, to experience belonging. As a mammal the paradox of needing and yet feeling overwhelmed by people is confusing to say the least!
Quote:Maybe a large group of 'strangers' in stimulating conditions will never be appropriate - I offer you kudos for trying something new, is there a hope behind that?

Stormy day
Thanks SR,
Hope you're feeling better. My sleep is not so good either recently,I've been looking online for sleeping tablets and hypnotic relaxation music.Posted 28th May 2014 at 19:48 by indigo777 -
Stormy day
How lovely! Those clouds are very special. A timeless scene.
The skies are moody right now, I'm quite into the drama. Hope your anxiety is less of a bother. Mine was pretty intense last night too, I will probably write about that soon.Posted 27th May 2014 at 17:56 by Star Rainbow -

Thanks for comments, It would have been better in cooler conditions I think.(mustn't grumble it was sunny!)
Rachel, you can walk or cycle around the whole reservoir nowadays. There is a cycle hire place at two of the visitor centres and I think a bus if you arrive by train takes you direct from Oakham to the car park next to the cycle hire at Whitwell.Posted 22nd May 2014 at 12:41 by indigo777 -

Great pictures. The village looks so quiet and peaceful in the first one. Looks like a great walk.Posted 22nd May 2014 at 12:06 by Progress -

Sanctuary
Thanks rainbow,
I should not really have raised more frogs. I went from just the 2 to about 120 in the pond with 2 years. When it rains they often come hopping down to the house!Posted 14th May 2014 at 23:02 by indigo777 -
Sanctuary
What a lovely garden, looks to be a peaceful haven and full of life. The garden here is out of control, though our Earthly Mother is clearly in charge and has a grand plan. We have frogs too, don't they go crazy when they mate?! One of the early signs of spring for me. Having dragonflies is magical. Those tender plants look resilient so far, hope that is a successPosted 14th May 2014 at 00:07 by Star Rainbow -
Stranger in a strange land.
Thanks rainbow, It was a relief to get back on Friday as I always fear a train breaking down and being stuck somewhere miles away from home!
There was some sun every day but only the Tuesday had a nice sunset. It was quite mesmerising to watch the sun setting, small boats and gulls from the end of the pier almost alone. I even saw a seal briefly.
