Indigo

Posted 31st October 2014 at 00:13 by indigo777

All right, I'm giving up the fight,
I didn't know when I'd be a stranger again in my own land.
The days are okay, but oh, how I hate these long nights.

The other day I walked through Marks and Spencer’s in town which I do quite often even if I don’t actually buy anything. I suddenly looked up and thought I saw someone I used to know from work looking back at me and grinning from the café section which is downstairs and next to the entrance. Thankfully...

Hot Chocolate

Posted 13th October 2014 at 12:32 by indigo777

I recently stayed with my friend for several days again. It’s weird to do new things at my age but still goes to show that anything new can be awkward at first. The new thing involved going into Starbucks for the very first time in my life. When I asked for a hot chocolate they asked for my name which threw me completely and I gave them my surname. The girl seemed bewildered by my reply and wrote Tim. Well at least the first letter was correct. If I ever go again I might give a false name like...

I read some such crap as slaves, yes slaves should be obedient...

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.

I love old trees; they have a character and personality all of their own. Many of the oldest have been through centuries of British history. Who knows how many people in different generations sat beneath them dreaming of the...

Mustn't grumble.

Posted 3rd September 2014 at 23:39 by indigo777

Over the last few weeks the level of my anxiety has risen so that I cannot watch any TV and concentrate on much at all anymore. I mostly seem to watch the clock and wait … to get up, for meals, to leave the house and come back, not much else. Time seems to be going 10 times slower than normal and I wait…. and hope, sometimes even pray. I thought about going in the cathedral as I did so often when my mum was slowly dying but it’s full of builders making the new room for Richard III when they...
