I am getting anxious about the fact I think I have accidentally thrown my neighbour's parcel out with the recycling....it was by the door, which was also where the recycling was, and I have taken the recycling out, and now no parcel....I so hope my flatmate moved it or something.

But really I know I have accidentally thrown it away. Thinking about what to do: Go out to recycling bin and try to get the top off to have a root around? (They're big industrial skips, not normal bins); or do I offer to pay for the cost of the parcel? (Might cost me a lot); or do I tell him what has happened and offer to help him find it if he doesn't mind taking the lid off the bin (might be too dark by then)...
