Re: I don't know how to communicate properly
I think all of my social anxiety problems are rooted in my inability/disinclination to communicate verbally. I remember all through my school life other pupils telling me how quiet I was. The trouble...

The Browning Version (1951) 8/10
A film that never escapes its theatrical origins….nor does it need to. Terence Rattigan’s adaptation of his own play is a study of failure. A...

Re: Rate the last film you watched (4)..
I mostly agree. A disappointing film overall. This director tries to do a lot of very ambitious technical flourishes. Somehow, I watched all of Mr. Robot whilst not particularly liking it…so I...

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
I lost my job 3 months ago. I had been there for almost 20 years. I feel pretty terrified about my future. I know I need to make a cv, but keep procrastinating. I just keep watching films. I don’t...

Bernie: 7/10
Decent black comedy/murder biopic. Not Linklater's best film, but possibly Jack Black's best performance.
Katalin Varga: 7/10
Atmospheric, contemplative revenge story, set in...

Re: Rate the last film you watched (4)..
Louder Than Bombs 8/10
Intense, but subtle family dysfunction drama. Not as good as the director's previous work. I like Jesse Eisenberg.....apparently he has social anxiety problems and such.

Re: Disappearing into the bacground
Same here....it seems my anxiety all stems from my natural urge to be quiet and not communicate. People expect you to talk because it's what people do, so you feel anxious for being an aberration.

Re: SAUK is in the news!
I suppose SA is gradually becoming more globally recognised at last. I often see cultural references to it now. This wasn't the case a few years ago.

Jack Reacher 5/10
I was quite impressed, probably because my expectations were decidedly low. Much intrigue and nicely paced. Not too actiony, to my surprise (and relief).

Re: I'm Still At Home!
I'm in a very similar position. If I could make the decision, or work up the motivation, I still wouldn't even know how to move out. It's exhausting just surviving without having to adapt to change...

Re: worst films of all time
Everything about Green Street is wrong. Elijah Wood as a West Ham supporting football hooligan is surely a joke. However, I would recommend it if you feel like a good laugh.

Re: Does anyone suffer with Labyrinthitis?
I find it feels the same whether I lie down or stand up. It's always there. From what i've read it seems as though the inner ear is damadged by the original virus, and this is irrepairable, so...
