Hi everyone. I havent posted on here in ages because I have been going through a horrific withdrawal from cipralex, which I started taking last year for my SA. I have been incapacitated due to the...

Re: RATM vs X Factor christmas no.1?..
I don't buy the argument that it's a hollow victory, it's like saying people should give £1 to charity instead of buying a bar of chocolate. Maybe people will be encouraged to campaign against more...

Re: Citalopram log
I agree with Nikkos, generally they dont do much.
Why dont doctors prescribe CBT instead? Its like, the first solution to anxiety is a pill.
Yes, the withdrawal can be hell. I wouldnt reccomend...

Re: Prescribed Paroxetine...
I know I'm in a minority but I would not reccomend Paroxetine at all, all it ever did was make my depression and SA worse longterm and led me to becoming suicidal and self harming a lot.
On top...

Re: starting on anti depressants
Of course it's my own negative personal experience, not just mine but many others too. The reason I keep saying it is because many people will have after-effects that they don't even attribute to the...

Re: starting on anti depressants
I had this same thing when I started Cipralex.
Starting on it was horrible but coming off it is even worse. I wouldnt recommend an SSRI to anyone.
Which one are you on btw?

Re: Loss of labido - Anti d's
To be honest, as horrible as it is, loss of libido can just be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to antidepressants.
Ever since I went on Cipralex I've had fibromyalgia type pain. And now Im...

Re: Loss of labido - Anti d's
Cipralex has certainly reduced my libido aswell as numbed me emotionally. Its a common problem, even after you stop taking AD'S.

I love gigs! I love it how most often the bands are crap and afterwards my friend ends up slagging them off.
Whens your next one?

Re: how often are you in pain?
I have a lot of fibro type leg pain and feet pain, a wonderful side-effect from Cipralex. Not sure how it will go on for.

Re: Struggling badly with citalopram
I have improved myself a lot, I have done tons of CBT and I know how to deal with my SA. Medications blunt emotions and emotions are neccesary for social contact, simple as.
I disagree that people...

Re: Struggling badly with citalopram
I see your point but at the same time I think people are naive before they go on drugs and unaware of the dangers. The problem is that when you come off them, you can get worse anxiety and depression...
