Guessing you must have a supply of random fuses living in a house with that setup.

Rereading you said you tried new fuse but are you 100% certain its a working fuse?
I got a new pack of fuses to check and it still didn't work. However, it turns out... the fuse box was labelled wrong. The one labelled "upstairs lighting 1" was actually mixed up with the kitchen lights, so when checking it I'd been swapping the kitchen lights fuse in and out (which obviously made no difference to the upstairs lights still not working). Anyway, the nice man checked that everything was safe, checked what each circuit was and added new labels to the three that were wrong. He said he'd only charge £25 too since he was an hour late and it only took him about 20 minutes to do.

Smart of him and useful to you cos presumably you'd now use him for any future electrical work. Scary though that circuits were mislabelled.

^^ largely pointless aren't they? Just seems to be a way of avoiding copyright by reshowing something with a "commentary" attached.
Especially stupid are the "American reacts to..." videos, like I give a crap what they think about anything.

How the universe is determined to keep:

Apple bottom jeans
Boots with the fur

in my head by exposing me to that song when I least expect it.

^&^^

It's elementary, my dear. Apple bottoms are the jeans developed by Nelly and friends. They have apples on the bottom.

When people have their TV mounted up on the wall.
I'm in a Facebook group called ' just decorate tips' and the amount of people that have their TV on the wall...
Is not better to have the TV at eye level on a TV stand, than having to look up at it? It also just doesn't look cosy to me.
I know it may save on space but it still annoys me

I don't like it either, especially above a fireplace, it looks all cumbersome.

I couldn't agree more. The wall should be for hanging pictures, paintings or mirrors. Not a giant television, dominating the room. It must be like sitting in the front row of a cinema.

What really freaks me out is when people have paintings hanging above their beds. I wouldn't be able to sleep or... anything else without intrusive thoughts of a painting landing on my head and smashing.

I always remember thinking how posh our neighbours were back in the 70s/80s as their tv lived in a big wooden cabinet hidden behind a pair of doors.

I don't like wall mounted tellies where the wires are left to trail off along the wall, just looks half-arsed. But I also don't like wall mounted tellies where they've managed to hide the wires, it speaks of a fastidiousness only seen in serial killers.

As we all know, the only acceptable method is to stick a 14" CRT in the corner of the ceiling, mounted on brackets, on mute and permanently tuned in to the snooker.

Annoys me how cruel dreams can be. Last night I dreamt there was such a thing as lemon Toblerones. Woke up to find I was back in a world where there ain't no lemon Toblerones (unless there are, I dunno, I haven't checked)

I have an elephant picture hanging above my bed. I’ve never wondered if it will fall on to me…. Until now

It may be time for the elephants to migrate to another wall.

Now that's what you call a dream! I'm also amazed that lemon toblerone isn't a thing! It should be! After all, they already have orange toblerone. Anyway, we can but dream! And talking of dreams, I dreamt that I was doing the dishes the other day! That was it! Just cleaning dishes! And no disrespect to your chocolate dream Merritt. After all, it's a great dream! But maybe our dreams should be a bit more action packed. Which is why I'm going to try and put a bit off oomph into our dreams:

*shakes moneymakers*

Anyway

I'm going to have potato and leak soup for lunch!

Oh and thanks Merritt!

^ I reckon we should all listen to that song on repeat while we sleep and report back with the results. Knowing my luck, I'll get 8 hours of me in a wig getting my bum out

Easy on the gas pedal, Merritt! After all, we don't want to give away the good stuff too soon!

Ok, here's the plan. PayPal + Shaking feathers = KA-CHING!

Here's the poster:

Although I forgot to include our big finish with a toblerone and a pot noodle!

Anyway, get ready for the money to roll in! And of course the toblerone to roll in!

Edit:

I forgot to add that I will let you know if there is a stirring during the night. I might even include that in a detailed PM for you.

When you're looking at a map on your phone and accidentally press to go to the app, but you don't have the app and then it takes forever to get back to the web based map.

A trailer popped up for Squid Games series 2 and it's dubbed in English. It's a completely different viewing experience without the actors' real voices and spoken language.

One place I go to has a book exchange and that includes DVDs.

Last time I went someone had removed a load of DVDs just leaving empty boxes and there were some I would have liked to watch. Good job I checked.

I hope there is a special place in hell for this person. A large room filled with DVDs of every film ever made and a DVD player. All the boxes will be empty except one. Enjoy infi eternity.

I know I should be compassionate towards them; but no.

I'm being dragged in to the 2020s by finally getting fibre broadband and BT are installing it tomorrow.

The appointment's been arranged for a week or so but I'm being bombarded with reminders by phone, text and email. It's great that they're being communicative but it's also quite overwhelming, particularly coming via different means. I feel like I'm under siege!!

First World problems eh?
