I've booked tickets to see The Great Escaper on Thursday. I'd also like to see The Old Oak, the new Ken Loach film, but I have to travel to another district to see it.

What flavour poptart would I be? Something beefy that you need to wash down with full fat milk, I expect.

I would get a cat, but I need all of my £93738282 a year for me.

Sixteen of these (for 8 pairs of shoes). I can screw these directly into the wall and save myself plenty of money having searched for quite a while looking at all manner of shite and/or overpriced wall mounted shoe racks.

Well, i've got them and they're good on appearances but i didn't really take into account that shoes, especially boots, have a pivot point when they're dangling. I haven't fixed anything into position but held one of them flat to the wall and tried a shoe and then a boot. Unfortunately, where the shoe will just about hold in place, the boot will need a bit more clearance off the wall, so i'm thinking of fixing them onto 2 or 3 thin strips of wood and then putting those on the wall. It still keeps things simple and minimal but now i've got to shop for some strips of wood....................... Or maybe come up with another idea

^ can they dangle by their laces? Or will that be a bit too dangly and not as tidy as you'd like?

Haha, but that's effort farting around tying laces. I'm now thinking of ditching the idea entirely because of the clearance needed for them to hang. Shoes are okay but not boots. I'll look again for some slanted wall-mount shoe rack or the door hanging one's, though i'm not so keen on those.

^ Make a cast of your own feet and mount them on the wall. Your shoes and boots should fit perfectly then.

For note taking at uni. I was going to get an ipad 10 but the payment would never go through and the bank didn't allow me to pay in instalments. But maybe that's a blessing in disguise because I want to use the tablet for just note taking and annotating documents. I'm even using a different account from my iPhone so it doesn't share the same apps and data. Also an iPad 9, although it looks ancient is probably much cheaper as it shares my iPhones lighting port. I also felt against the monthly payments Apple does as I am still paying for my 13 mini from last summer, it doesn't feel good. So maybe this would build my confidence in paying for big purchases in one goal? It feels good to use new looking tech though, but honestly I can't afford it if I need to budget my payments for it.

Coupled with them being hanging against the wall in your setup would mean they wouldn't be able to 'air' ?

I'm glad you've ditched the idea. Its lowered my stress levels.
