Dear friends,

As some of you may have seen in the news my dear friend and old boss Ray Cole (aged 69) from Deal in Kent is currently serving a 4 month prison sentence in Morrocco for being gay. Ray trusted in me, despite my mental health problems back in 2001 and gave me my first job - typing at my local newspaper. He has been an enormous support to me over the years and now he needs mine.

I'd be most grateful if you could share the following links however you can so that we can help secure his early release.

Very glad to see he was released. I find it abhorrent that he was imprisoned, but at the same time I think we expect people visiting our countries to respect local laws and traditions, it's probably wise for us to extend the same courtesy.

Fantastic news, but am sure Ray's still massively concerned for his friend. I am not on Facebook, suppose it's now officially nothing to do with the British Government but if there's a similar petition for Jamal please let me/us know.
