Default Hello everyone!

Hi everyone! I hope I can make some friends on here or at least talk to people who understand what it's like to have social anxiety disorder. I'm on a gap year at the moment because I don't feel confident enough to go to uni just yet. I was going to use this year to try and improve my anxiety and depression and hopefully being here will help that!

Thanks! I'm so glad! I can't stop using exclamation marks because I'm just so excited to be able to be so honest here.

Yeah, I was crapping myself before I started, because of the fact that I'd be surrounded by human beings but I am enjoying it. I think you'll love it when you start

Good to hear you're enjoying it! I hope I do too. I thought, with my subject, even if it does get tough I can always retreat to my room and read.

Yeah the socialising aspect is still a bit difficult, but I don't know what else I expected
It's good to have a back up plan. Reading always seems to help doesn't it I take it you're staying at the place then rather than travelling back and forth everyday?

Ah, would that I could! I have recently discovered the golden age illustrators - Kay Nielsen, Arthur Rackham etc.

Yep, I'll probably be staying on campus in a shared flat. At the moment I live in Cambridge and the uni is in London, which I'm actually ok with because my grandparents live there so it's the city I know best after my hometown. Also, it's a small campus uni so it's like a little retreat from the busy city.
