Sorry to hear that you have nobody to talk to...I suppose it is difficult even when you know people, I always felt I couldn't talk to anyone about my problems up until a few years ago. Could you ask your doctor to refer you to IAPT or some sort of counselling service? It really does help to talk to someone. I hope you are ok.
Thanks Custard Cream
I've been on Sertraline for 8 years now so maybe it is time for a change?
The two main concerns I have about changing med's is that I might make myself even worse and also don't want to end up with the dreaded sexual side effects, which I have avoided so far

I do chat with a couple of online friends and although it is helpful there really is no comparison with talking to a living breathing person, but I have no real life friends.
I'm seeing a counsellor which definitely helps but I can't afford to keep going indefinitely and sometimes it actually makes me feel worse that I have to pay someone to listen to me.
Although I still live with parents I never feel remotely comfortable talking to them about this sort of stuff.

I hope you are okay too CC

^ Mums have a sixth sense for sex scenes on the telly, I swear. It was uncanny how often mine would walk in the moment one started. Tellies must give out a high frequency signal that only they can hear whenever anything resembling a nipple appears.

I remember watching Waterworld as a kid and my mum popping through when the lady in it got her bum out (tastefully, from behind, as I recall) WHY WAS THERE A BUM IN WATERWORLD.

^^You realise that you just made that pizza guy spit on someone else's pizza?

A pizza delivery guy once dropped a can of coke on my brother's toe. I've told this story on here many, many times, but it was just so damn funny. His toenail went black and fell off. I didn't even witness it happening, I just heard him shriek. Happy, happy days.

Ahh,why do some things in life have to be so complicated. Signed up to a dating website the other night when I'd had a few drinks and I've just logged back in and had messages from a few guys I like the look of or like the sound of - similar interests etc. Want to try the whole dating thing, eventually have kids, but at the same time it all totally terrifies me. I'm 29 and have absolutely no dating / relationship experience whatsoever!

^^He'd probably already tried the other doors.
Don't be embarrassed, it could have been worse, it could have been Mormons knocking when you were expecting a friend to knock so you shouted down for them to 'come in', then when you went downstairs and saw two soaking wet Mormons standing there, you were too embarrassed or polite to tell them you'd made a mistake so you invited them into the living room, offered them some tea, which they heartily rejected cos they 'don't do tea', then sat with them for an hour while they talked about Mormon stuff before getting you to pray with them - yes, pray with them, on your hands and ****ing knees.
The bible they left with me was beautiful, full of mad, colourful illustrations of Mormon nonsense.

This will sound uncharacteristically positive for me but I didn't start until I was 30, have definitely had a steep learning curve but I had to start somewhere.
It's never too late

I've got to know a few guys, been on a few dates with one guy but it didn't work out so I am trying again
The thing I'm still terrible at is replying to messages when the other person is online (stupid I know) hopefully I can get a bit more confident before they get fed up with slow conversation!

Good luck with it Custard Cream

Thanks for the reply D1662.

It's good to know that others haven't started to look at dating until they are my age...I suppose the more I try meeting people the easier it'll get...just hate the thought of it all being awkward, not knowing what to say, coming across as weird and how would I keep a relationship going when I'll probably be scared of the other person(typical SA thoughts!!).

Well done to you for having gone on a few dates, that's really brave of you. I've not replied to any of my messages, I've deleted one haha, another guy has sent me about 5 messages since Saturday (I've not responded to any) and I don't know, maybe I'll try and be brave and reply to someone before the end of this week.

Thanks and hope everything goes well with your dating stuff.

I shouldn't be moaning but I need to!
Why is it that everyone wants to chat with me on Facebook at the same time?
When I'm sat here bored not knowing what to do with myself nobody wants to talk, but now I have 4 different conversations going on and I think my brain may explode!

On several occasions a man had to reverse my car for me, or direct me.

I struggle to keep up with one conversation with someone as I never remember what has been said let alone 4 conversations !

Gosh.
I always get my mum to take mine for me as I'm useless at things like that, plus I would probably steer my car straight into the hole

Stressing about tomorrow. R's coming round and everything is very awkward between us. We've agreed we're going to break up but not yet. Don't know what I'm expected to do tomorrow or if I'm supposed to buy him a present, or what I should buy him. And I can't go shopping because can't drive. We're not going out or anything. Don't know if we would be able to get a table anywhere and I don't know where he would like to go to try. And he's always tired after work and isn't coming over til half 7 which means he has to drive in the dark. And he's not eating here, so we're probably going to be sat awkwardly on the sofa for two hours.

So confused about it all and worrying so much.

It's going to go wrong I know it is and I don't know what to do.

Can't do this.
