Relieved that Christmas is over. I never worked so hard in my life LOL. I did over 60 hours in a week, waking up at 2 AM and doing grocery picking... One day I logged a 10 mile walk. So much drama too. Looking forward to next year though, where we will hopefully move next month to our own place. Not sure if they'll still give me full time hours or not, I'm pretty good with whatever I guess, just as long as I'm not going to go on the tills.

But yeah just feeling kinda "meh" right now, it's a transitional period for me once again and I'm just waiting to see what's gonna happen.

that sounds promising Spectral.

I just done a walk, and I can't work out how I'm so knackered. It does elude- the physical body.

There’s plenty to live for, but unfortunately depression can distort things.

I really don't feel like going out tonight but I don't want to regret doing nothing interesting on New Year's Eve.

^^^ feeling like that is awful, feeling as if there was a cut off point for remarkable change to happen. But remember that depression and anxiety are two of the biggest manipulative liars that anyone can ever come across and that's their biggest lie - that things can't change and we're stuck at a certain point.

I hope you find inspiration and something that clicks inside to show you that depression and anxiety are prisons that turns our thoughts into the brutal guards that try to keep us inside.

Sorry I think I've gone a bit too metaphorical there! Maybe something in your life needs a big change to challenge and change your thoughts and beliefs.

What are your options, al?

Everything is interesting if what you're doing interests you.

Some friends have invited me to a party at theirs. I don't know if I have the social energy to go. My battery is pretty low atm.
I don't really know what else I'd be doing. Probably reading crap on the internet like usual.

That sounds great! Are you friendly enough to say your social battery is low and are they cool with you dipping out. I did that and was surprised at how understanding people can be about stuff like that.

The alternative is arriving later so you don't have to be there that long, so you can read crap online before you go and have company for the countdown - best of both options

Waiting for the paracetamol, codine and amitriptyline to kick in. Not in the best of moods. A new year without my wife...

I hope so. I have a good feeling this year.

Keep at it! Walking is so good for you. The more you do it the easier it gets too.

Do you find this point of the year ending and new one beginning particularly turbulent? I woke up today with throbbing anxiety out of nowhere. No accompanying thoughts, just full of dread of EVERYTHING.

Sorry you've been feeling like that, Jam and Biccies. I can relate. The new year doesn't mean much to me, nor should it, but it's hard not to get a bit introspective and weigh up what's been and what's to come. I was lying in bed last night kind of wishing I was dead. Nothing to worry about, I think I'm just immensely bored with myself, and weighed down by the thought of another 365 days of being me-ness before it's time for another round of new year's introspection and repeat and repeat and repeat.

Please don't "be dead".

I think everyone will agree with me that there is zero boringness in you Merritt.

But I understand that how you view yourself can feel impossible to shake off.
