Annoyed I've had yet another argument with my family.

They were going on about how this former army barracks in my area which is being converted to housing, 'will all go to those Syrians'. Rather than biting my lip as I usually do, I couldn't help but say 'good - they need somewhere to go'.

Needless to say, it didn't go down well

Got a cool haircut after volunteering the other day. Phone and laptop being fixed by someone I know in town. Went in to check on dad at the hospital this afternoon after browsing in another market town nearby. Now back to thumpy/screamy neighbour. Glass of wine in hand and think have leftover cider somewhere but that's allowed cos this is a parentingfree zone for the next two years. Dad was pushing for info on that even in his ill state. Broke it gently and just said 'were having a break.

^ Oh sweetheart You have to let them know how you're feeling, your needs are just as important. Some people wind up having breakdowns from the effort of always pretending to be okay, I spent most of my life doing it and discovered the hard way just how much damage it can do. I think it was actually this forum that helped me learn to express how I was feeling and that it was okay for me to do so.
Your loved ones wouldn't want to be taking advantage of you or upsetting you. Please try and let people know that you're struggling yourself and need some support of your own?
