Default What skills should they teach in schools?

What skills should they teach in schools in order for people to bypass the route of being sidelined by anxiety in the quest of life?

1) Confidence. I think confidence could be the highest currency of them all. Even beyond actual academic qualifications.

2) Support for neurodiversity. There's something like 13 different intelligences. Only concentrating on one shoots kids in the foot.

3) Instead of religion, some sort of wisdom training. How to manage emotions etc.

Education seems to have often taken the form of 'learn by rote'
Basically treating people like, at best, computers, (at worst, parrots)
Storage machines who merely upload information to be used later,

I'd have thought that a good foundation for real learning is the ability to question things,
Rather than just using memory to store ready-made answers,

I'm not even sure that children generally are accepted as they are,
But instead, have to prove themselves worthy by adherence to sets of rules
Rules on behaviour, rules on appearance, rules on expression,
So, society is encouraging conformity rather than individuality,
Conformity is rewarded by acceptance of the crowd
But this acceptance is conditional,
The condition is that you conform, to their ideas on education etc.
And so, the ability to think for yourself and to question things is stifled,
Whilst conformity and acceptance of authority is rewarded,

All this dosent really encourage or engender a confidant individual,

People are just being force fed what information is deemed relevant in order to pass tests,
And then, just let loose on society with a "qualification "

Doesn't seem very evolved to me.

More emphasis on life skills, personal development, adulting, money management, job seeking, etc. Less on rote learning. No religion.

First aid, I know they teach in secondary but I see no reason why it can't be taught in primary too.
