Yeah I’m not a fan of someone being a landlord as an employment choice. Berate the people on benefits and then there’s fat cats sat on their ass renting out accommodation, even using agencies to be even lazier. But at the same time they are meant to provide a service and that is re: accommodation maintenance etc

https://thebla.co.uk/how-much-does-i...et-a-property/

House prices don’t go up in the moment because of interest rate rises.

Sorry, BFG - looks the members of sauk are not onboard for supplementing your dream of becoming a property tycoon.

Same it's peaceful - it was my buffdee a while back and I need to go to Greggs later on to get a free cake haha. I'm not sure which cakes they have. Hope it's not too busy.

I had free birthday cake and coffee the other day as well!

Someone posted a TikTok showing all the free things you can get on your birthday if you sign up to apps. Obviously it's a ploy to get people download the apps and spend money on other items, but FREE STUFF!

Yeah you can get McDonald’s chips if you sign up to the app. But not in any rush to get.

Keep trying NeverWas. Setback today, try again tomorrow. But better when you’ve had sleep!

It isn't that I hate cats, but the fact that I lean more towards unusual/less popular animals has probably something to do with my autistic tendencies. I'm not saying I'm on the spectrum, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I suppose my interest in animals comes more from my curiosity than real actual love.

I've just thought more about this.
I live in a place with 10 housemates. Each pays about £90 a week. £90 x 10, £900 a week, x 4, £3600/month, About £44,000 a year income. (then minus expenditures- how much total water for all, gas for all. Crazy amount of money.

I imagine about a million. And he has two properties like this. Pretty much does all his own DIY. Good stint if you can get it.

I was waiting for someone to start doing some ROI calculations.

Even NS&I is offering 5% on 1 year fixed bonds, which beats 4%.

^ It's not just the income though, depending on how much of the property he owns there's the equity in it, which in general goes up.

I'm thinking how cute it is when my dogs do that little chin shuffle on a cushion for extra comfort before they go to sleep.

True, although I think UK property prices are going to be in for a rough year or two with rising interest rates yet to fully impact the market.

Doubt he's getting 4% on his original investment if he bought property 20 years ago it may have only cost 300k originally.

I don’t know your maths. I’m assuming it means selling the property with all the solicitor fees, and taxes etc.

My last encounter in the local shop:
‘Wot u looking for m8?’
I’m ever resentful they changed from a COop to a Nisha.

I keep getting ads for those loop earbuds. They seem a bit gimmicky, but I would actually love to have some discreet ear defenders. I know you can get over ear ear defenders for children. I'm sensitive to noises.

Just saw an instagram profile based in photography, although it is alot of photos of models but they are well edited, also in a subtle way. It made me miss when instagram used to be just pictures or mostly pictures since nowadays a lot of the content I view seems to be from businesses or people showing off a skill like skating, making art. It's gone from being about visually pleasing photos to people showing off more in a way. But maybe I was just nostalgic for the mid to late 10's when peoples opinions weren't as in your face as they seem now.

Life is a lifetime long. I finally got a qualification at the college a few years ago. Before I avoided that for ages. Don’t lose heart. You’re smart enough to know you want to gain a skill/qualification, it’s just finding the opportunity when it comes along and battling the nerves to go it.
