I'm not sure how well the fish thread will catch on.
Recently, I've started eating fish and wondered if anyone has any tasty fish recipes that they'd like to share. If not, google will see me right. |

Fish curry is nice. So are mackerel fillets in tomato sauce and spicy tomato sauce.

Haha you guyyyys. I love fish, but I don't really like shellfish.
Thanks, Mo. I don't think I like salmon! But I haven't had it since I was a child, so I should give it a go to see how I feel about it now. Or I could maybe use a different fish. |

I have always liked salmon and vegetables,
I prefer it done in an oven tray, set the oven at 180' put a small amount of olive oil in a baking tray just sprinkle in chopped onions (red or brown) put in chopped pepper(s) red/green, whatever a couple of diced tomatoes, sprinkle over some cashew nuts put the salmon on top, drizzle with olive oil sprinkle some salt and pepper, (optional extra of garlic & chilli ) cover the top of the tray with baking foil, (but leave a little gap) cook in the oven at 180' for at least 20 minutes,..slightly more is better. I honestly always find it seriously tasty and a right good meal on it's own, but you can serve with rice just for some carb element. ![]() if you don't like salmon ( as it can be quite a "meaty" fish,) substitute for any other,... cod / haddock, whatever |

^^ Have you tried breaded scampi?
![]() I can't stand fish. So many people have said oh but you haven't tried [insert fish], every time it's still just stinking fish. I blame growing up around cats, just makes me think of their food ![]() |

A simple but tasty (and colourful) pasta dish with smoked salmon:
Chopped leek chopped bell peppers About 150ml white wine About 150ml veg stock Juice and rind from a lemon Chopped dill Linguine Fry the chopped leek, add white wine, reduce, add stock and lemon juice, reduce, add the chopped bell pepper. Add chopped dill and smoked salmon for a minute or so. Done! |

I don't like fish all that much, probably because my dad owned a chippy. I like smoked kipper sandwiches (the extent of my culinary skills) but the tiny bones can be a pain.

^ whoops I just realised it sounds like I've never had fish before haha. I grew up eating a lot of fish and then stopped. I'm used to eating a whole fish rather than having it chopped up and in things though.
I found a fish tacos recipe that looks a bit nice. Maybe something soupy will be nice too. Definitely want to try a fish curry. |

That's the recipe I followed, but I used a red chilli instead of jalapeño. Mainly because I forgot to buy them and had a red chilli in my possession. |
