I just bought some Incandescent Edison Light Bulbs and retro style fabric braided cable for a 1920s breadboard style lamp I'm making.

I tried to buy one of those little oranges that they have now, but I couldn't remember its name.

Me: Hello, can I have one of those little oranges please?

Shopkeeper: Mandarin?

Me: 我在找那些小桔å? ?ä¹‹

Shopkeeper: Get out of my shop.

I bought this last night, whilst slightly boozy. I'm in two minds about whether to cancel. I really like the jacket but aren't sure i can carry it off - it's a bit 'flash'. I quite like the idea of wearing it with a baseball cap and hoody, just to dress it down a bit.

A little, i've been thinking about getting a stab vest for ages with the rise of knife crime and since i'm returning to boxing soon i'll be training in a rough area i thought it best to take precisions.

Plus i'm not popular in some parts of Southampton

^^^ Sorry to hear you live in a rough area, sure not going to help the SA? The last estate I was on had a bad reputation, we didn't go out much which suited us. New area seems a lot better.

Tickets to DragCon in LA this May. I've wanted to go for years and the dates never worked out, but I just realised the other day I'd be there this year while it was on. Apparently it's mostly a lot of queueing, but the panels and events sound fun. I'm just going to choose one person for a meet/photo, I can't decide who yet though.

A new PC case. I've had my old one since Skyrim first came out, and I may or may not have recently mangled some of its insides with a pair of pliers. I'm putting off installing all my bits and bobs in the new one though, out of this vague fear I'll break something in the process. The motherboard will detect some bad vibes and blow up or something.

I could do with one of those too! For carrying the thing upstairs when I have my 8 hour toilet gaming sessions

I'm not really into it, no. I can manage it when I need to, but fiddling with the insides of a 'puter fills me with dread. I only just about know what does what, and I get really nervous about developing lightning powers and zapping something with my staticy sausage fingers.

My mum stuff for her birthday. A light up colour changing birthday candle,

a pair of cloggs, and some thermal pyjamas.

I really want to go out with her but I just can’t face it. I was thinking of just taking her for a meal locally, cab there and back but I dread being agitated, mean (through stress) or cancelling on the day.
