Hah, I forgot he was in Monaco,
I imagined he was in a 3 bed semi in milton Keynes,

Someone who worked at COP27 in Glasgow was telling me they had to install a massive bank of diesel generators so the attendees could charge up their electric cars every day,
The generators were always needing refuelled with diesel every few days,

Very carefully, I'd imagine,

Depends if it's a piece of stock or already fixed in situ.
Also, if it's got a paint finish?

I'd glue it with a lolly stick type thingy and apply a tourniquet type cramp, if you can get around it,
Then let it set

Then you'd possibly want to fill it with a wood filler and sand it?

It's quite unusual I'd imagine to get a split in MDF

^ Cheers. I managed to fix it. I opened the crack (the sort you get when it's been hit hard) in the MDF by pushing down on a pebble to open the crack. Then used some PVA glue, wiping off the excess. then turned the panel over and pushed down hard on a flat surface with a hot clothes iron to set the glue. At least I found a use for the iron. I will have to paint it but it's worked out well.

I like mending things rather than throwing them away and contrary to The Daily Mail, you're not rich on disability.

Would you say Avatar (the first one) is suitable for a 9 year old?

My answer is no, maybe in a year or two, but my daughter really wants to watch it. Her friends have watched it apparently.
She's watched the entire Harry Potter movies and that got real dark real quick, so maybe she'll be able to handle the violence and themes in Avatar....

Oddly enough, when I went to see avatar a couple of weeks ago, my overriding feeling was "this is really aimed at kids"
I certainly wouldn't say it's an adult film in any sense,
It might be aimed at teenagers strictly speaking, but I think more accurately, doe-eyed, innocent teenagers,
It's all quite dreamy and airy-fairy as a film,

I actually felt a bit embarrassed sitting watching it. (as an adult)

Why are North Face clothes so popular? They cost a fortune, like £300 for a coat, and every time I see someone wearing their stuff it'll just be plain black with a little logo. I DON'T GET IT AND I DON'T LIKE IT.

With the VR bit.

I'm going on the 27th. Just been reading the reviews outside of the official website and there not all good. I do know someone who has been and they loved it but it is thier cup of tea. Wheras the friend i'm going with it isn't her usual kind of thing and now I'm a bit like :/

Tbf it's not my normal kind of thing but I fancied something different. Plus would quite like to go to London with someone to get me used to doing it more.

I have no idea either. I don't usually buy weather gear 'cause I rarely go out. A few years ago now I went into a camping gear shop which was having a sale. Looked at North Face coats/fleeces and they were not all that. they looked like pretty standard fleece material that isn't al that hard wearing. Instead bought a hard wearing windproof fleece by "outdoor scene" for £50 half price. It was brilliant and lasted really well, even after being attacked by cigs and fireworks etc. I still have it, my expanding waist won out.

I went to this but it was in a church is Leicester, so it was small and atmospheric. I can’t cope with the idea of wearing VR headsets and people watching me wearing one. It reminds me of pin the tail on the donkey. Also, I’m cheap so didn’t want to pay extra for that part.

I really enjoyed the experience though. It was really calming. A bit like being in a sensory room.

Ah I see, hadn't really thought about it. I suppose I will be self concious but well, will give it at go I guess or see how I feel on the day as it's a fiver extra (which is a bloody cheek) or more likely see how stupid everyones looks first

I went to the one in Leicester too and didn't like it at all. To me the stuff before the main room seemed like a pointless afterthought and like it was only there as filler to justify the ticket price, then the main room was very underwhelming - poor quality animations with a dull voiceover. It felt like a terrible way to "experience" his art - the best way obviously is to just look at the paintings, not sit on a deck chair watching a low resolution projection of birds flying through them until you get bored.

The VR part was the only bit I enjoyed It was only £3 extra at that one and even though it was short (about 10-15 minutes) it felt worth it, and I would have happily paid an extra £5 for it. The main ticket being £9-10 is what felt like a rip off. I would go for the VR anyway if you're already there - you're just sat in a chair fixed to the floor and the headset is attached from above, so it's not like you're at risk of bumping into anyone or looking stupid, you just sit there looking around alongside others doing the same.
