So true. Wanted to book in to a hotel to just escape it all this year for the reasons you state, but It's Difficult. It's a really crushing time of year mentally for a lot of people.

^ I really appreciate that very much, biscuits, you're a real one. But I've been thinking of you! Are you still really ill? It sounded nasty.

Wouldn't it be great if we could buy books and instantly download the information into our brains

I'm not looking forward to spending the afternoon with a one year old who is fully of snot, bogies and sneezes.
Being ill sends my anxiety through the roof and I can't be doing with getting lurgy right now.

^ People really shouldn't be bringing young children who are ill to be around family right now. One year olds are nice when they're not ill though!

I'm not sure why you assume the two topics are intimately connected, Duolingo, but I'll have to take your word for it right now.

^ Owen Jones wrote a good ones called The Establishment. That reminds me I haven't read his book called Chavs yet. I wonder if Tony Benn wrote any books on socialism? (Oh, it seems he didn't specifically but a number of his diaries have been published and this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Parliament-...s%2C138&sr=8-4 )

Haha it's a nod to the Michael Rosen book where he explores how historically socialists reworded and worked fairy tales to create socialist fairy tales and fables to teach their messages:

^ that sounds lovely . You're fortunate to live in such a beautiful and interesting part of the country. It's an explorer's dream. I can't wait to go back to go fossil hunting at the beach.

I'm also day tripping today :D

Just over 12 hours until I leave the mid 30s club and join the late 30s club.

I keep getting told that I should 'do something special' for my birthday but I just don't feel like it. I'm quite happy to just have a quiet day home with a takeaway for tea but apparently that's boring.
