^ I feel like my communication has gone backwards lately. I get ever so tongue tied all the time and things pop out that shouldn't. Today I asked for a king porn bhuna instead of king prawn bhuna!

Bring back the days when I physically couldn't speak. (Don't really, SA gods!)

I feel emotional. Today I was approved for Disabled Student Allowance for the first time ever. It may not seem like much but I felt for the first time in my life that what I experience and live with each and every day was validated by wider society.

^ That's good to hear

Thank you AL, Dougella, Hollie, Percy, NeverWas and Tembo for your care and concern. Ignore me please. I'm just catastrophising as usual and letting off some steam

It's nice to be back posting

I'm feeling grotty with cold I'm also wondering whether blowing your nose prevents congestion instead of sniffing/snorting it back. Sorry if you're eating breakfast right now.

I have three meetings today. This does not make me enthusiastic for my job. I really hate the meetings.

^ Good luck with tomorrow

@ anxiouslondoner - I hope the meetings went okay for you today
I used to hate work meetings. I'd clam up and tremble in my chair

Thanks Spud
I hope your cold goes away soon
My husband has an absolute stinker of a cold and it will be a blooming miracle if I don't come down with it too.

I did however get a big sleep, which should set me up well for the rest of the day.

Extreemly tired, bored, achy. Much better after a long sleep waking at 2pm. I went to bed really late or really early and managed to get some sleep. Seems there's one plus in having fibromyalgia.

"It turns out fibromyalgia patients' immune systems are deficient in two particular cytokines, IL-6 and IL-8, and those two cytokines just happen to be the same ones that rage out of control during severe COVID-19 infections. COVID-19 antibody rates also appear to be lower in fibromyalgia patients than the general U.S. population (3.7% vs. 5%)."

And I am over caffeinated.

^ zoiks! I've never had a hangover!

I woke up with the worst cramping in my stomach. Yesterday, I had nothing for breakfast - soup for lunch, roasted vegetables for dinner (cauliflower, chickpeas, mini potatoes, courgette - and it was only drizzled with olive oil and fresh herbs). I can't work out which food does this to me.

Oh - I had a crusty bread roll but it was so small. It was slightly stale. Maybe it's stale bread because last time I had stale bread it happened.

You should try it sometime. You feel awful for most of the day but then come good late afternoon, evening time. For some people it can last for days and i've no idea why those people even bother to drink!

Sounds like it's the bread, Bix. Is it only stale bread?

^ I reckon I'll continue to give them a miss I don't really like alcoholic drinks - other than a cherry brandy and coke at Christmas. Yum.

It's been stale bread twice and pizza twice. Weirdly it's not all pizzas - it's only the proper pizzas.

I'll avoid both from now on I only have stale bread with soup, so it's not that much of a sacrifice haha

Perhaps I shouldn't ever let thoughts of quitting my life to become an Elton impersonator enter my brain.

You do stick to yer guns, Bix! Would you be lighting up if weed ever become legal? Or try the edibles.

That long awaited Elton John impression! Thanks for that!

^ nope, not interested! Alcohol and recreational drugs don't appeal to me at all! I'm pretty good at relaxing and pretty good at having a good time. I haven't ever felt the need for them

Well, I do love a bit of caffeine but it makes me sleepy, so I don't have that much.

You're welcome I'm nothing if not really good at bad impressions!

I've got an itchy inner ear I've been getting a bit of tinnitus in it and a bit of low level pain for a week or so and now it's itchy, so I think it might be the start of an ear infection

^ oh nooo. Ear infections are the worst. My ears haven't recovered from the last one I had in both ears at the same time. It'a best to get it checked out at the docs so they can stop it progressing. Hope you feel better soon.

Sorry your ears aren't fully recovered Biscuits
I've had soooo many problems with my ears ever since I was little, especially the left ear. I had grommets and have had dozens of ear infections and perforations. I always wear ear plugs if I swim because they get infected so easily but last time I went the ear plug let water in and sure enough it feels like another one is starting
I think I'll see if the pharmacist can give me a spray.
