What was the first vinyl record you bought

For me the first single was gilbert o'sullivan - get down (1973) tho it turned out that i actually preferd the "B" side a very extraordinary sort of girl.
It was not until 1979, that with my paper round, i had enough money to buy a album this being The Specials - Specials.

The first Vinyl record bought for me was Thriller by Michael Jackson (Did I really need to add the by bit).
By the time I could afford to buy music for myself I had moved on to cassettes but for the life of me cannot remember what the first one I bought was.

I remember handing over £3 (in record tokens) for the chart hits 83 double album, I was 7.
