Oh no, I hope your grandma's ring turns up soon for you, SpectralOwls double check with you Mum.

Sorry to hear about your dad's fall Nanuq I hope your mum receives some news soon and is able to see him, and so you can find out how he's doing. It's such a worry when you can't be given details. I hope he recovers soon

Thanks for the comments. <3 I'm trying not to worry too much about it, but it's nagging me really bad. I don't want to ask my mom, because it'll upset her if she finds out it's missing. If she has it, then that's great. She can hold onto it. I just feel so bad about it because I was entrusted to hold it (like now I almost wish I wasn't given it >_<)

I'm glad your dad is okay, Nanuq! That is a really frustrating situation to be in. I hope you can find some good solutions soon enough. I also hope for your dad to live in good health as well.

^ Oh that's a pity you still haven't found your grandmothers ring, SpectralOwls
That kind of thing would nag away at me too until I've found out where it's got to. I'm always losing things but 9 times out of 10 it turns up again when I've stopped looking for it. I hope that your mum has got it although I can see that it's difficult to find out if she has without admitting that you've lost it!

@ Nanuq - It's good news that your dad hasn't broken any bones and that he was going back home today

Having just spent the last ten or so minutes scrolling through Instagram and being bombarded with pictures of perfect people, full of confidence, enjoying their perfect Christmas I can honestly say I feel pretty shit and something of a loser.

I wonder sometimes if I caught covid a while ago and didn't have much in the way of symptoms, and have been left with long covid. Then I think maybe it's just my slobby lifestyle catching up with me. Oi dunno.
No way Mezza, those've been my exact thoughts as well! All of what you said!

I have a suspicion I may have caught Covid in 2020, before testing was widespread - basically I had a fever for a couple of weeks, so it wasn't serious - but I haven't felt 'right' since.
I went through a phase of feeling dizzy when I stood up, sometimes on the verge of keeling over, which was a bit scary. Lately I have brain fog, bugger all energy and want to sleep inhumanly long hours (I've not long woken up from a 13 hour snooze actually), but for me that's nothing very new I guess.

It could be that my thyroid medication needs upping, or like you say, my pile of shit lifestyle catching up with me (plus I'm in my 40s now!).

I'm feeling tooth achey. I cancelled a Dentist appointment awhile back because I had too many other things going on to stress over and the problem tooth had stopped bothering me, but now the tooth ache has returned with a vengeance. And worst of all, my Dentist has retired. If I can't find an NHS Dentist soon I'll be pulling it out with some pliers

^ Me too
Are you getting enough sleep at night Mellie? Or is it possible that you're low in certain vitamins and minerals? Whatever the reason for your tiredness, I hope that you manage to get back some zest and vigour soon

Apart from feeling so fatigued all of the time, I'm feeling guilty that I fell asleep earlier this evening and so didn't chat on the phone with my birth half sister as we arranged. I know I couldn't help falling asleep but I think I'm being somewhat avoidant too. I just can't face interacting with anyone socially at the moment

Weirded out. Someone i met about 10 years ago on a drunken night out in liverpool is going to be on live at the apollo tomorrow. At a previous job i had, a staff trainer once said how she went on a date with alan shearer and it just reminds me of how worlds can collide. I always see celebrities as so removed but they were just normal people once.

Aw Consolida, it is completely okay to take a little time out to rest . Hope you feel up to chatting to your sister soon, it will give you a few little sparkles of nice feelings to catch up with her

^ nice to see you posting twosocks and 3stacks

I'm also in the completely exhausted club. Hugs to others who are also struggling with that. It's really dark when I drive to work in the mornings and really dark on the way home, I'm sure that is a contributing factor.

I'm losing my mind due to work and stress because I let things get out of control by not being able to talk about them.
I feel like I should quit my job because I can't handle any sort of pressure.
I hope I can relax over Christmas but it seems unlikely.

Is it relatives and/or friends that you struggle to talk to about the things that are stressing you out or do you mean that it's difficult to talk to your work colleagues about work related issues? You don't need to answer that! I hope that by at least being able to open up on here a little helps to bring you some sort of comfort

I hope you do have a relaxing Christmas and feel completely recuperated in the new year

@ Nanuq - Aw it's been an incredibly tough two years for you health wise and you've come such a long way so please don't give up now. You're so much stronger than you think you are

A few hours after getting Moderna, I felt terrible. My head has been pounding, my arm aches, my abdomen is cramping, and I've felt like I could be sick at any moment! Hoping tomorrow I wake up feeling back to normal!

^ I hope the symptoms don’t last long Biscuits! I also had quite a bad reaction to Moderna, even though I was fairly ok with the first two Pfizer jabs.

I had quite an awful night last night. Despite going to bed early, it took me hours to get to sleep. I was also bombarded with loads of negative thoughts, and it was quite different this time- it felt like I was hallucinating, or having a nightmare while actually awake. I’m feeling very low at the moment, and I also have a bad stomach ache and painful ulcer which probably didn’t help.

I’m also off work now for a couple of weeks for Crimbo - for once I feel a bit sad to have a break, as I’m not going to have much social contact until I go back to work, thanks to Covid.
