Thanks, Consolida. Sorry to hear of your mum's passing.
Yeah, 'doors opening' - they aren't all good. |

Thank you Percy, Dougella, Rocket Spud, Lee and nothing_special.
This pain is the worst I've ever felt in my life. |

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
^ sorry Consolida I became overwhelmed with spud that I didn't see your posts. I'm ever so sorry. Losing someone we love so much is.... there aren't any words for the feelings. I really hope that when you are ready that you can reach out for some support. It feels like there is no support that will make a difference but grief support is more about acknowledgement of feelings without the intention of trying to make anyone feel better because you can only feel what you feel. It's more about supporting through the process and tailored to you. Sending you lots of love

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
Pretty exhausted at the moment to be honest. I was down in Ipswich last weekend with my brother. I'd already booked Monday off work but my boss called me in as he's contracted Covid...and that would leave the office short.
I've felt knackered all week... Not his fault of course and I don't mean it in a nasty way at all... I just feel as though I'm burning myself out at the moment. We're now approaching the end of March and I've only managed to get one day off work this year so far. |

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
Pretty rough. I've just tested positive for Covid 🤒🤧

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
^ Hope it isn't too bad!
I was testing positive from Monday to Sunday last week, but apart from the feeling of a lump in my throat for a day or two at the beginning I didn't have anything else. The three people I gave it to seemed a lot worse |

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
^^ Oh no! Get well soon, dudey. I've gone without a mask the last couple of weeks, thinking, well, I've got to at some point, right? But I fully expect to catch it too before long.
I'm going through another patch where I feel like I can't think straight. A sort of permanent just-woke-up feeling. It's a bit of an effort not to go back to bed twice a day, to try to sleep the feeling away. I should probably get checked out by the GP, but I'm just afraid of them quizzing me on my diet and lifestyle and telling me to sort those out first. But, honestly, this feels beyond tiredness. It's like my IQ's been halved and I'm experiencing everything slightly out of sync. |

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
^^^ Oh no! Hope you feel better soon
^^ It is so contagious. ^ Have you tried taking a multivitamin? (Sorry this is my stock question when someone's feeling tired etc! If it goes on for a while you probably should see your GP and get a few general tests done I'm aftraid.) |

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
^/^^/^^^ Thanks all X
I couldn't sleep last night for coughing, but now I feel as though I have a bad cold. I'm so tired! Time for a nap, I reckon @Merritt it's probably worth seeing your GP, could be something like anaemia or a vitamin D deficiency making you feel that way? They can do a blood test to check. |

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
@Dougella - I take a Centrum Advance one each day. I don't know if it's worth taking another on top of that, but having to supplement my supplements probably wouldn't be a good sign.
@Tubbs - Aye, I know I should, it's just hard when I feel poorly not to blame myself and feel like I should put up with it |

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
Nervous/anxious about going back to work tomorrow (I've had a week off).
Not sure why. I've got a new group to start on Wed and have found out my line manager who was supposed to come along for the 1st session may still be off with covid by the wed. Which means possibly my actual manager coming along who I never see or speak to. Plus there dragging a new volunteer into the mix which considering in this area we've got very few service users is going to be torture. |

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
I haven't been out of the flat since getting out of hospital. My (step)daughter wants the physios to make sure I'm safe getting down the stairs before I do She said she'd never forgive herself if anything happened to me..
I'm beginning to think I'll never walk without an aid to help me do so.The most I can manage without the zimmer frame is about 10 yards. |

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
A frustrating day...
Firstly, the my local hospital called me to arrange a Colonoscopy next month (as I deal with Ulcerative Colitis) which I wasn't expecting. As I was in work, I had to move to another room to have that conversation. Apparently, I'm around 18 months overdue one. I don't like them and the last few experiences I've had of them have been incredibly unpleasant. Not just the procedure itself, but the run-up (drinking lots of horrid fluid which makes you nauseous), going through a pre-op of all the things which can go wrong - despite them knowing I get anxious, sitting in the waiting room for four hours for a half hour procedure (which makes me even more anxious) and then terrible stomach cramps for the best part of 24 hours afterwards. So, I've now got to arrange the time off work, get PCR tested three days before-hand (which will involve more time to arrange away from work), sit and stew on this for five weeks in the run-up. Explaining this on the phone to my mother afterwards and typically when it comes to such anxiety-inducing situations, it's somehow all my fault and I've brought it on myself. Secondly, I've received an e-mail from the car dealer that my car is overdue it's service - despite them servicing it, on schedule, over three weeks ago. Thirdly, I've noticed my arthritic knee has started playing up today. Most noticeable when I've been climbing up the stairs. Fourthly, I've just found out the broadband has gone down at home and isn't likely to be fixed until tomorrow... I mean, it's not as if the internet is considered a luxury these days - especially with an explosion of 'home working' over the last two years. Quality service as usual from BT. Lastly, at work today, my manager criticised me earlier for not being strong enough to get rid of what was clearly a cold-call. I simply asked them to call back at another time, perhaps tomorrow. Apparently, I'm being 'unpleasant' as I was somehow wasting their time (not the other way around)... Figure that one out. ...and it's only Monday. I wish I hadn't have bothered getting out of bed today, to be completely honest. |

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
Thanks for the well wishes a few posts back, and sorry for not replying sooner. Tbh I've been spending most of the time dozing in bed - Covid has really wiped me out! I should be over the worst of it now though, fingers crossed. 🤞
