Ime not a frequent poster but first registered way back in April 2000 as "Far North" . I think I was the only peep north of Birmingham at the time!!
Never made the very first meet in July 2000 but made it down to the 2nd one in that church in Soho near Shaftsbury Avenue. Must have been about 60 folk there if memory serves me correctly. I remember that everyone there seemed amazed that Id travelled all the way down from Aberdeen to attend. Mind you I remember speaking to someone who'd flown over from Switzerland and I think a lady travelled across from Sweden so I wasnt the furthest travelled anyway ! Always wondered what happened to "Fiona" who seemed to run things in the first year or so. Anyone know? |
