Default cave under a river

i saw some amazing pictures once. it was a river, but in the floor of the river there was a big hole in the rock. it turned out that if you went in the hole, there was a huge network of water-filled caves. divers went in it and stuff. i think thats pretty amazing

anyway...i have tried various searches to come up with an example of this phenomenon, but to no avail. does anyone know the name for this sort of thing, and where i might find some piccies?

cheers

Try searching for cave diving.

I'd call it cave diving, but throw in the term underwater springs as well and you should be well away... Play around with "cave network" as a search term too. We saw an amazing one when on holiday in France that apparently they've never been able to gauge the true depth of even with deep sea diving probes. Trying to find my holiday snaps to figure out where it was.
