Cringing a little bit at this and the fact that I came across it in an ad before a SOPHIE music video, with someone or something presumably having decided that 'SOPHIE is gender non-conforming and makes electro pop so this person will like this too'.

Went food shopping after sanctuary. Interesting, no panic buying as such. Though the paracetamol shelf was cleared and also the toilet rolls. I heard one of the staff say that the delivery they had the s'morning of loo roll had sold out completely! Bit annoying as I actually need loo roll!!

^ This is the thing about people panic buying and hoarding stuff, there isn't enough left for people who really need it. Maybe they're going to have to start rationing people to just one pack of item per visit (although then people might just go round and buy one thing from lots of different shops, still might help a bit.)

The check out lady said someone bought £200 worth of loo roll! The lady in front of me was disgusted. I do think if your trying to buy that much you shouldn't be allowed tbh. It's ridiculous.
The check out woman figured they may be planning to sell them on ebay maybe when (if) the virus gets worse.

Loo roll wouldn't be my first priority, I mean there's plenty of free copies of the Metro around for me to wipe my ass on. Makes sense though what with everyone crapping themselves with fear at the moment.

I'm being slightly annoyed at myself for buying into the virus thing.

Haven't hoarded but found myself buying extras for possible future isolation. Pasta sauces, mince for the freezer, bag of potatoes, extra bread for the freezer and a couple of cartons of UHT milk. Least it's all stuff i'll use anyway.

Just been to Margate for the day. There's a scattering of nice places in the centre but once you venture past that it's all crumbling delapidated seaside buildings, nothing really going on.
Now just waiting for a pizza to show up.
I'm not looking forward to working from home all week. I might start doing a "commute" on my bike just to get me out of the flat for a bit every day. I'm quite worried about my mum and dad, both are over seventy though pretty healthy and they will hate being isolated. I'll probably have to go up there at weekends and help them out. I kind of wish I had a car now, but I'd have to get refresher courses as well.
I'm feeling particularly gloomy and pessimistic right now.

^ That's a great idea. I work from home and always do a "commute" of a long walk before and after working so it feels more normal. It makes a big difference.

I was supposed to be dog/house sitting for someone at the beginning of May who has a uk cruise booked. She txt to update me that although she thinks it will be cancelled if it isnt her and her husband intend to go!
Why in the name of God would you want to be closely confined on a boat in the middle of a pandemic with hundreds of strangers!!
