Despondent
I fail to understand how my mood can fluctuate so wildly in such a short space of time.

^^ I also find exercise helps to lift my mood, I'm just a bit cautious about doing too much as I cannot afford to lose any more weight:/

That sounds a wonderful position to be in

I can't exercise as I may lose too much weight!

All I have to do these days is look at a beer and I seem to put weight on, my metabolism has gone to shit since my late 20's and I hate it, I need to do something about it before I go past "a bit chunky" stage

^ Well if you want to cry, maybe this is a good time to listen to Sufjan's Carrie and Lowell, it's impossible to listen to that album without crying

But seriously, big hugs, here if you want a chat

I hope so. It's the parents being there that bothers me more tbh.

Hope you feel less fed up

I am now 100% sure I do not have any form of degenerative muscular disease which leads to tremors and noticeable jerks/shaking.

I was getting tremors and the odd jerk leading up to and the first week of Uni but it's abated now. A symptom of stress, relieved effectively enough by magnesium.

Today I have felt sad and emotional about life in general, probably hormonal. Could be connected to the argument with my boyfriend, I searched for a gift for him but I'd already paid for his latest adventure trip.

At times it was so profound I almost cried in public and seriously considered not having children at all if the world was such a sad place (I dwell far too much on future implications).

A chapter of How To Stop Worrying & Start Living would alleviate the feeling but with so much to read for uni I just took a St. John's Wort tablet.

^ What form of magnesium do you take Dandelion?
Doc says mine is low but not low enough to warrant injections.

I used to take the ones found in pound shops but I went to a health food shop and he said the body doesn't process magnesium easily at all, the ones I take now are called 'Dyno-Mins' by 'Nature's Plus' they're grown with mustard plants so the body recognises it as food and absorbs it more readily.

I was thinking of getting the muscle spray as well because they are big tablets, not easy to swallow but when I chew them, they are so chalky and bitter it makes me gag

Still ill so I'm not going to work tomorrow, I have a bit of of headache which I'm not sure if it's from the cold or just because I've pretty much just played on my Wii U all day.

Fed up of the constant battle my life has become, just when it looks like there may be a bit of hope it pulls the rug from under my feet again.
Not sure I can be arsed to try anymore.

^^^^ I think many people would describe their life as a constant battle, it's a never ending series of ups and downs, but I think you've just got to accept the downs as a natural part of the 'journey' of life, a life without downs is impossible ultimately. I'm sorry you feel shit now, but this rough period will pass and you'll have plenty of ups and positives to look forward to in the future and you've definitely had some good positives in the last few months remember, going to Pride was a big achievement for you I remember

I won't give up just yet, need to accept that things don't always turn out perfectly how we would hope them to.

Thank you for the reminder that good things do happen

I guess without the downs there would be no ups either.

^ Exactly, and I find the ups always feel that bit nicer when you've experienced a lot of downs, you really appreciate the good times after going through shit.

I really sympathise, Flumpsy, because long after my colds have disappeared I'm always stuck with awful sinus infections that can last for several weeks - the pressure that builds up above the nose and across the brow can be goddam painful. It's good that you aren't having to struggle into work with it though.

I went out for a meal with my family yesterday and the waitress had a stinking cold. She looked like she was gonna collapse. Her eyes were red and streaming and she had some livid looking cold sores around her nose and mouth. Can't imagine why her boss didn't send the poor girl back home to bed, plus on a purely selfish level I didn't much relish the thought of eating apple pie and snot custard.

Now entered the second week of havining a sore Neck so taken copious amounts of painkillers again. Oh the joys of getting old

I'm defo getting worse in social interactions and my phone manner has gone from embarrassing to god awful

I'm not buying it when people s ay if you keep doing stuff it gets easy, I know on paper it "should" work like that..but in some cases..its utter bollocks

There are 3 things in life I struggle with..(3 off the top of my head anyway) all 3 of which I have daily exposure to..all 3 I'm no better several years later, **** it
