I know I said American Football is number one, but College Football isn't professional and considered a separate entity to pro Football/NFL. It's the third most watched sport in America. In fact it's catching up to baseball for that number 2 spot.

I can read something and react to it, typically in a negative or disagreeing way. Then I can step back a bit and shed my ingrained (unhelpful, biassed probably) thought patterns and very carefully reread what's been written, working hard to dismiss any of my own biasses or traits. I can then see a totally different meaning in the words and end up agreeing with what's been said. It's so often where I've gone wrong. Thinking I'm always right has blocked out so many learning opportunities. Listening to others is such a wise thing to do. Thinking we are wise ourselves is surely stupidity.

This reminds me of something that happened to me a few weeks ago. I was walking down a country lane and suddenly I was being mobbed by two crows, enough to make me duck a couple of times. On the road in front of me was a dead crow which had been recently run over. After I'd passed they settled on a telephone wire above the body.
