I've not been around for a while and since my last 'thank you' post I see more posters were kind enough to send me their kind thoughts. So, I just want to say thank you to Biscuits, Vienna, Scott85, Leali and Aleks. I really do appreciate the support of you lovely people.

It's been a tough time. Seeing two people you love die in front of you just two weeks apart is an experience I'd not wish on anyone. The support from people on SAUK and from family, friends and neighbours has been invaluable. At the moment I'm doing fairly ok given the circumstances and so is my partner (we both lost our dad's in the space of a fortnight for any reader unaware) and I think we are lucky to be blessed with such good and supportive people around us.

Anyway, thanks again to everyone who took the time to offer their support on here. I really do appreciate it a lot.

I also hope that all those going through a bad time themselves just now can find some peace and happiness. Take care everyone.

Glad to be home. After much umming and ahhing I went to a Xmas fair/market in Petworth. Thinking as it's a ye old south downs town/village it would be quite nice. I ended up just feeling kinda lost and ever so alone . The market was disappointing (to me) and I kinda wished I hadn't bothered.
Petworth appears to just be full of art galleries and interior shops and nothing much else . The galleries (the few I went into) are nice but I felt out of place, like I wasn't good enough to be in them. Some nice stuff but not affordable to the likes of moi.
Got me out of the house I suppose...

Might as well vent now since dad decided to go upstairs this Xmas and leave me to deal w those bitches of women I have for family members. not entirely sure I'm going to make it thru in one piece relatively socially respectively. I've been given a 'final' ultimatum by a long time friend to talk/meet with him. He has sent me a few warnings prior to this but says he is going to delete my number and leave me alone for good if he doesn't hear from me. I have been crying and feel sick. I have been pushing him away for a long time and I've text him previously telling him I can't be his friend or more, that it would be better for him to move on so I don't know why I'm reacting this way. I guess it's because I feel terribly guilty and I wish I could change. I don't want to behave like well a monster but I am by ignoring a perfectly decent human being rather than just go through my issues one by one. I'm too stubborn and ashamed to just be honest and frank.

That sounds like a very difficult situation you are having to cope with there Blackflies

If your friend is a kind and supportive one then I hope you can find the courage to meet up with him and be open and honest about your issues and how you are feeling. But, if this friend isn***8217;t the type to show you much understanding or support after you open up to him then it does sound like you may eventually be better off moving on.
From the small amount of info that you***8217;ve shared here though, your friend does sound pretty important to you Blackflies and you also to him if he is so desperate to meet up and talk about things.
I***8217;ve often found that the potential risk of rejection, lack of understanding, humiliation even, is far less scary than not ever taking a risk and forever wondering what might have been...
Hope that makes some sort of sense
