Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
As I was walking to the shop yesterday, a young boy, maybe 7 years old was just sitting on the curb and drawing something with chalk. He waves at me and says hello. I said are you waving at me? He said sheepishly "yeah..". And I smiled and said I don't know you and kept on walking.
I feel a bit of a c about that and want to apologise but I might not see him again. If I don't, I may have scarred him for life. Sorry, kid. But I think that happened because it feels like men aren't allowed to talk to kids these days. |

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
^Oh yeah, although is is a small thing, I do think such thing isn't nice. Whether or not it affects his life depends on other factors like social support, family, temperament.
I also see your point as well. I think for this reason, but it's in addition to lack of social skills, I am probably more closed off to some women, sounds toxic, it is I guess. But I feel we can easily be labelled as creeps and such. But it's also to do with a lack of social skills on my side. Adding to your point I was listening to a podcast yesterday, whilst running, and the topic of sextortion came up and how it can lead to suicide for some young teen boys. My thoughts were that it's not sextortion, digital sexual abuse that leads to it causing suicide but more how we discuss and approach sexual issues in this day and age. It's a really stigmatised subject area I think. We take sexual abuse even more seriously than we probably did 10-15 years ago. Anyways the person being interviewed in the podcast, Dr Phil, went on to say how some young men have been abandoned by their family if they opened up about being caught in a scenario that lead to sextortion so that may be a reason some teens see suicide as a way out after being sextorted. I think not being able to have hard conversations in this society causes a lot of harm or is going to. It's like we are so aware of abuse that we are overly alert to the point we don't try to understand the situation. |

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
^^ I think you handled that ok actually. Unfortunately it's important for kids to learn not to talk to or trust strangers (not that you're untrustworthy but someone else he encounters might be.)

there must be there a psychological like explanation why something annoys you at first, then you find yourself looking at it many times later as it gets stuck in your head.

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
I usually have 0 tabs open on my phone. It's no more than one or two while doing something, and then when I've finished with it I'll close the tabs and the browser app. I can get up to maybe three tabs open on desktop before I start getting anxious about it, like whatever I was doing on the first tab is unlikely to ever get done if I started to add a fourth, fifth, etc. If something has to wait for another time then it'll just put in a temporary bookmarks folder as a reminder, otherwise it feels like it's probably terrible for phone/computer performance (and well as obviously brain performance).

Just thinking of how I really need to learn that if I don't like or want conflict then I really need to stop seeking it out and looking for it.

i don't know if people get annoyed by posting many YouTube especially in one page, but anyway, I've always felt/thought similar (about the NPC's thing) before knowing it's a thing other actually talk about, regardless it has some truth to it or not.
i suppose most people heard of (non-player character) from playing video games. i can see a huge similarity between video games and us humans in real life. |

Is (The similarity is uncanny) a meme or a common/overused English phrase?

This has led to a lot of resentment and so conflict, I think I'm just someone who finds it very difficult to deal with people, and as this workplace resentment has grown I think I've just kind of lost whatever good will and general wellbeing that I used to enjoy, But it's hard extricating yourself from conflict, I think my righteously angry ego probably has a lot invested in it. It's difficult to just walk away from something that seems unjust and bugs you so much |

Paul Alexander, a guy who lived in an Iron Lung from age 6 to 78 and who has recently died. Massively inspiring story.

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
I was just making a fricassee in the caravan, with the door open (it's too hot to cook otherwise) and as I cracked the eggs, a chicken appeared outside! The chickens do have the run of the garden, but as they're wary of strangers, they don't usually come round to the door of the van.
In case you're wondering, the eggs came from a local supermarket, not my landlord, so they (probably) weren't related Sent from my M2010J19CG using Tapatalk |

Chickens can be quite inquisitive |

Re: Type what you're thinking about right now (11)
^ Yes, I'm on my travels (using Tapatalk is usually a clue ), in Aruba. Yes, chickens are inquisitive, but this was the first time I'd seen one round this side (the caravan is in a small corner of the landlord's garden) and I swear she was just there to make me feel guilty about eating the eggs

What S.A. could alternately be known as, or mean to me, in order to re-brand or change the narrative on this now overused term hanging around my neck?
Santa's Anus? Smelly Armpits? Sack Aroma? Sacre Azure? Saturday Afternoon? Sacred Alignment? Sausage Airfryer? Sozzled Aristocrat? Starkers Airhostess? Steve Arnott? Spanish Aircon? Seven Arriba? Secret Allure? Special Artist? |
