If you believe these small time independent little news commentary channels on youtube, there is actually quite a sad, sordid little affair behind this apparently innocuous little non-news story.

I loathe Philip and Holly as a pair purely because they are so over used as presenters. I hate when presenters I associate with one program are suddenly reused for pretty much anything going. Presenters I once liked, just begin to grate on me. It would be nice if some fresh blood got an opportunity to present once in a while instead of the same faces being shown constantly.

I don’t watch this specific show any more but I’m glad he’s stepped down. If the trigger really was international woman's day and he threw a strop, that is rather pathetic. He always come across quite self centred. I remember his coming out like it was yesterday simply because of the bubbling like he was about to declare some incurable medical diagnosis. I feel sympathy that he felt the need to conceal his sexuality for so long but the delivery felt very contrived. Although his wife surely knew, I felt his OTT delivery was quite insensitive to her, given she would automatically become part of the conversation for the public. But regardless of that Holly seemed to genuinely be supportive of him so if the rumours are true, he simply used her for self gain and thus when the spot light moves only on her he doesn’t like it.

He isn’t his brother so we cannot judge him for those specific crimes but he surely could of handled the situation better. Some of his wording in the case seemed to dilute the severity of his brothers actions. If I was Holly, a mother, I’d feel pretty disheartened by his approach to dealing with it.
