^ Hope your stomach settles down quickly newbs

Thinking about how much energy depression consumes, it really does make life even harder than it needs to be, I used to be so meticulous with paper work, now it's just a mess, I still haven't done my tax return yet

Thinking about how stuck I am and how I can't see a way forward.

I can't stay living at my Mum's, but it's the only place I can keep my dog. I haven't got a job so can't afford to move out, and even if I could there are no dog friendly rooms or private rentals. And I can't bear the thought of moving without my dog she is my lifeline.

^ I know how you feel AnnieLu

I so desperately want to be in my own place but can't afford it, even though I am working on and off it's not enough to live on properly and now we are moving to a new house there is talk that the dog may not be able to come with us because she is a bit unpredictable around people (not surprising considering humans beat the crap out of her when she was a pup) I just cannot imagine my life without her.

Twenty five years ago today one of the greatest showmen of all time lost his battle with AIDS.

R.I.P Freddie Mercury

Wish I had some of your courage

^I can remember hearing about it on the news. I had no idea who he was at the time, and based on the picture of a normal looking man with a moustache, i assumed he was a pub singer. For years afterwards, I thought it was weird as shit how the national news had once reported on the death of a pub singer.
And it's not like i wasn't familiar with him at the time either; i loved 'Barcelona'*. I guess i just thought they were two different people.

*I've since created a musical mnemonic which uses that song to remember where Barcelona is located in Spain. It goes like this, you have to sing the tune "Barcelona! Up in the top right hand corner! Barcelona! Up in the top right hand corner! Barcelona!"

Yeah. I tell people and GPs that I get side effects if I go without for over 24 hours, but they always say "They don't work like that"...then why am I anxious, itchy, irritable, and getting brain zaps??

^ I was on 200mg for several years, I managed to cut back to 75mg for a couple years but have just put myself back up to 100mg, not that its made me feel any better, just more shaky.

75mg might be ideal for me, but it means sorting it out with the doctor , which I want to avoid It's getting the balance of having feelings and keeping depression at bay.

Well, Nutella does have some porridge enhancement properties but nothing like as many as good old syrup, I live and learn.

Six months ago I was referred to Somerset Partnership Talking Therapies Service for some CBT, I still haven't heard a thing from them.
I knew the NHS was up shit creek but this is ridiculous. I cannot turn my life around without help, I know that, but my life is rapidly passing me by, every day that passes the harder it will be to repair the damage.

Why a single person under 35 isn't entitled to any housing benefits to live in a 1 bedroom house or flat?
Yet I could claim if I was in a hostel or shared accommodation???
This makes no sense to me, just reinforces the fact that single people are the scum of the earth in the government's eyes.

What I am about to type will sound harsh but I feel it needs to be said

Another student has drowned in the river Avon in Bath after a night out, this is very sad and my heart goes out to his family,
Now for the harsh bit, this keeps happening, new barriers have been put up plus various other safety measures and now another public outpouring of grief begins complaining that enough isn't being done to protect the students.
Well how's about this - don't get pissed out of your head and go wandering near a river at night, take some responsibility for your self and don't do it!
