I've got quite a lot on today really and I think I'm stressing out about it, I've got the worst indigestion I've had in ages and feel a bit on edge (I did miss one day of omeprazole which I think messed my stomach up last time it happened so that might not be helping).

@Muggins and @Silent Ninja I hope that both of your feline friends will be okay, I can very much appreciate how important our pets are, I'd be lost without my dog.

Today my counsellor said that I have a very balanced approach to relationships, I find this very hard to believe, I feel about as balanced as a one legged elephant.

Wondering whether these little segments looking at the work GCHQ do that have been appearing around the BBC this week (I've counted them on The One Show and Radio 2 so far) are part of an orchestrated attempt to sway public opinion in GCHQ's favour following a certain bill that became law last week. Maybe they're reckoning it won't bother us that almost everything that could be known about us can be accessed by government for the flimsiest of reasons if the main people that are doing the accessing seem nice.

Admittedly, I do have a bit of an over-the-top distrust of The One Show though. There's something suspicious about Matt Baker's near-constant chirpiness...

Need to do some exercise but my bike needs fixing and there's no public lane swimming this evening, at least not until 9pm...

Thanks everyone for the good wishes for the cat

He's had to stay in overnight now (there was a chance he could have been picked up today) so we'll have to see them in the morning and discuss things, unfortunately it looks like they still can't give a definitive diagnosis for him, he does have a small nodule in his lungs which they think it may be an idea to remove now while it's small (he had it before and they think it may have grown) but his nasal mass looks to be a bit smaller, they still can't rule out it being a tumour though but they did say that it's now down to a decision if we want to keep with procedures and investigations on a cat who still seems quite well within himself.

I've had to phone my manager on her mobile to ask if I can have tomorrow morning off so I hope it all works out time wise and I can actually get time to eat a lunch and get myself in to work, there's already one person booked off and another has been off sick so they're down to three if I can't get in and they apparently had a very busy day today (I feel so bad for them ).

I have two bottles of wine, two tubs of sweets and four novelty Lindt chocolate things to give as xmas presents to my brothers' families, and they're all in there, in the kitchen... calling me... mocking me. I need to wrap them and hand them off to my mum before something terrible happens.

I really hope the 6 year old girl who was run over in my village is ok! It was all because of some idiot car driver who jumped the red lights at a pedestrian crossing.

I see people jumping red lights all the time! Argh.

What am I thinking about right now? A few things, really:

1) Why I open up to people to explain my problems constructively - only to face ridicule for doing so...which is is exactly one of the reasons which lead me to develop Social Anxiety in the first place... No one actually wants to understand the points I make, but will happily make underhand negative remarks very much aimed in my direction.

2) Why isn't it Friday...? I've been a day 'ahead' of myself for the past few days - waking up thinking it's actually the following day... I desperately need the weekend.

3) I'm taking a test drive of a car next week (a soon-to-be ex-demonstrator) that I've seen online, would suit me perfectly and as a result, fancy buying. The trouble is that I sense something will go wrong. Not necessarily with the test drive, but when it comes to trying to negotiate a deal and appropriate finance. It's a car I'd really like to have and for that reason alone, I expect to be leaving empty-handed...

I wish this stuff with the cat would run a bit smoother, no call for when to pick him up yet and I need to organise myself for getting to work for 12:45 somehow fitting a lunch in somewhere, looks like a £25 taxi ride just for that s**t-hole.

Regretting all the things I didn't do in life.

I can't regret the things I did do because I never make decisions or react to anything just plod along accepting all the crap that comes my way.

Have you got Virgin TV, there's three channels on there showing those movies 24 hours a day.

Well they're not too worried about the cats nasal mass anymore as it has shrunk a bit and he still has no major discharge or any other clinical signs for a tumour so it's likely not a tumour (they still can't say for sure though).

Unfortunately they've found a growth in his lung on his chest X-rays though which is growing so it could be a tumour, they just need to check all their images with the surgeons now and then they'll get back to us with what the surgeons think (there is the option of removal which could be key-hole surgery or full open chest surgery).

Apparently she was flown to a London hospital, but the injuries are not life changing, so that's a relief I guess! The elderly driver who ran her over has been arrested.

I thought i was going to read about another death then. Seeing that name takes me back to a better time. He certainly represented something to the people I hung about with, they idolised him, so much so they started a group of their own playing their own Libertine-sy music (I'm listening to them on YT right now).
We'd all pile in the back of a smoke-filled van to go to some shit pub in some shit town to play a gig for a handful of people who usually had zero interest in that type of music - sometimes the landlord would stop them playing after just one song.
Good days, but i did not know it at the time...
Crazy how long ago that was.
Now i'm glum.
