Whilst it was cheaper for the manager because of less temp workers to spend money on it definitely didn't mean I worked better. At certain times I was too tired to do the best job that I could.

Plus the office workers I clean for started after me and finished before me or around the same time as me, this week, yet they make far more than me. I wouldn't wanna be a corporate office worker but I would rather make lots of money using my skills but not working myself to exhaustion than vice versa.

Good to hear you're still working though, even if it's not ideal. It all looks good on the CV and is a stepping stone to something more suitable hopefully.

I'm also very tired, mostly due to the winter. I have a lot more energy during the rest of the year.

Cleaning is nice, I used to work as a cleaner, it's very rewarding work.

Yeah hopefully, although I did feel I enjoyed cutting my item hair yesterday. The only thing is cutting my own hair feels like much more work than going barbers.

It's difficult to get to on the phone, I don't know what Google are playing at.

I have been going to the Olympic Barbers on and off for about 2 years and after the poor service I received when I went there last time I have decided I'm probably never going there again.

From experience some of the barbers there give good haircuts however the lack of professionalism puts me off. First issue I have encountered is that the shop says it is opened at 9am to around 8pm, Monday to Sunday on the front door and some websites. Yet when I go there I have found the shop to be closed on Sunday's sometimes, in fact one time I went there on a Tuesday morning at around 11:30 am and was told by a barber sitting in his car, right beside the shop, to go back there in 40 minutes as no one was in the barber shop.

As it turns out I had that barber that told me to wait the last time I got my hair cut. He didn't seem to want to cut my hair and was quite patronising to me. He told me to sit up straight in an angry tone and some slang after that to which other staff and some customers laughed. I can understand being told to sit up straight and other stuff in a non angry tone as I am quite a very shy person, it takes time for me to relax. That's another thing that has made me decide not to go again, I can't say I am the best person for customer service but I know good customer service involves trying to understand your customer which I haven't experienced at Olympic Barbers.

Honestly if it wasn't for the other barber that is usually at the shop and has given me good haircuts and appears to treat all customers fairly, I probably would have given the shop a two star rating. I am truly disappointed with the service I received the last time I went there. Some people become so proud that they think they can take advantage of their pride.

For future advice I would say try to understand all of your customers, not just the ones you see as cool.

I watched her final episode last week. It was difficult to watch (especially the part where Barbara was choking back tears while brushing Nana's hair), but filled with the loveliest, funniest lines...
