Any cell block h fans here? I own all 20 boxset's (692 episodes yes i'm that sad).
I think it's way better than all the soaps on nowaday's.

Yes I'm a huge Prisoner Cell Block H fan. There's nothing sad about being a blockie! I'm in the middle of watching it at the moment as it's one of the few things keeping me sane lately. They don't make them like this any more.

Use to watch it on late night ITV (Central) when I was a kid (insomnia was a problem even back then ). Loved the show. Bea and Fergie 'The Freak'

Watched it again a few years ago, just didn't seem to be the same though

I loved Prisoner cell block H as a teenager, it used to be on late at night on Central/Anglia TV. I can still happily watch it now. If I'm feeling crappy I tend to watch old shows and prisoner is one of them. Most episodes are on youtube. Bea and The Freak, legends.

I've watched a bit of Wentworth but kept forgetting it was on. It's not bad but doesn't represent Prisoner for me. I like the original, wobbly sets an all

Used to love watching late night Prisoner back in the '80s (I think it was on a Thursday night here so only one day of school to get through so I was generally in a pretty good mood). Vera Bennett and The Freak were both ace- the baddies were always the best characters.

Wow didn't expect many reply's haha. I have both series of wentworth, watched most of series 1 but can't help going back to the original

WP series 1 is good but series 2 is even better. I agree with you that the original PCBH is the best.
