You definitely have the brains, Omar, and very likely the options too - though I know how difficult they can be to make out at times. You're also witty, kind and more of a gentleman than many a man, so are more than deserving of them.

Hope stuff seems brighter for you soon (and that this didn't make you sick up in your mouth too much).

I find myself doing the comparison thing between me and my cousins, most of them are with someone or married and have kids and a house, I still have shit all, it does hurt me but I realize that it isn't a good way of thinking.

You brighten up my day with your witty posts on here and with your empathy.

You're a good guy Omar I hope you can see that, it may be that there's a shit load of work to do but you are capable and it will be worth it, you're not ****ed!

Take care Omar
I hope some of that made sense.

I was at home this week rather than at my dads where I am now but I got a knock on the door on Tuesday afternoon from a detective saying there had been an incident the night before and had I heard anything. Just sitting reading the local paper now and a local woman in her 30's was raped by 2 men (strangers) by the stream which is behind the crescent I live on. I'm quite shocked tbh. I live in a village, nothing major happens here. Slightly worrying too who's wandering about right on your doorstep. I don't walk that late at night but even so, makes you think.

I asked my daughter who she loves more, mummy or daddy. Her answer? 'Orange juice'.

Don't bother with gigs at Hyde Park. It's not loud enough, it finishes early in order to keep the residents of Mayfair happy and if it's part of BST you have to pay extra to stand near the stage. An normal area show or a festival like Reading would be much better.

It's a shame that the only and only time I've seen Black Sabbath was there.

^ Yeah it is part of BST I think, don't worry there's little danger of me going there or any other gig unless I suddenly grow a pair of balls.

@ Appear & D1662
Despair seems to be my default mode these days; I try not to let it bleed out onto here, but sometimes I can’t help myself.
It's mostly economic woes, yo!

Thanks though, you guys. It means a lot. Sense was made, and the levels of sick in my mouth were just about manageable.

Wondering why i keep typing thnaks instead of thanks, like 100% of the time. Wouldn't be much of an issue if i didn't end so many of my emails with 'many thnaks'.

Gloomy, overcast morning, so perfect time to try out my new daylight bulb, and after 45 minutes, I've got to say, I feel kind of good and energised. Maybe it's a placebo effect, I don't know, but I do feel better than I usually would on a gloomy morning, so that's promising

^ Ooh, sounds promising, Ollster. I've been tempted by those in the past but never did bother giving one a try. I think my mum's got one knocking around somewhere that I might be able to steal though.

I'm thinking that there's no way it's thirteen degrees outside. More like minus seven.

^^ Yes, go for it, it's definitely worth a try, I think I'll be using it a lot in the next 6 months, I have the bulb just in a lamp that I move around and position it a few feet to the side of me as and when

I tell myself every year to get one of those light boxes or bulbs or whatever but always forget and spend Winter with the sads. Are they as simple as just screwing into a lamp?

I got a letter this morning sent to the wrong address. How can I get it to the right one? Can I just write on the envelope pointing out where it needs to go and put it in the postbox, or do I need to go into the post office?

I think the one my mum has is a sort of panelly plug-in jobby (obviously the technical term). I do like the idea of an actual bulb though.

Will definitely have to get one then Do you have to have the bulb properly beaming its light at you, or does it work ambiently through a lampshade?

^ I'm not sure really, I guess it's probably better to have the bulb fully beaming its light at you and I don't have a lampshade on it, although I'm not sure tbh.

And I'm only going to hear that whenever I listen to that song now

I have a broken wrist. ****. And apparently very little chance of ever getting the range of movement back and pretty much guaranteed arthitis in it within ten years. ****. :'(

They can operate on it which may improve range of movement. Don't know how to cope with this.

Lots of stuff online about how this type of fracture is very easy to miss on x rays and that prompt treatment is vital for it to heal properly. Can be commonly misdiagnosed as a sprain and if let untreated has bad consequences. Which is exactly what has happened to me. Wish the bloody hospital had looked at in properly in February.
