Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
Nervous and a bit
Went home yesterday but I've had to come back to my dads this morning. Got a phone call from a social worker up in East surrey hospital, she seems as crap as the last one tbh. Got to go up there for 1pm to meet her. :/ |

Like a hypocrite
I'm very quick to dish out advice to other people about their problems but when I am faced with the same problem myself I just bury my head in the sand. I really am the ultimate basket case. |

^^^
Thanks Clemintine Yeah it is a bit. Got as far as Crawley this s'morn and a nurse rang me saying there sending him now to Horsham hospital (#totally confused) today so going up to East Surrey for a social worker meeting is pointless. Rang the social worker and she said 'oh yeah I did hear a whisper of this the s'morning, so my manger told me to hold off. He'll now be under there social worker Tracy again'. Did it occur to her to ring and tell me this? No. Shambolic as ever. I'm really getting pissed off with it all. |

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
Alone, lonely, lost whatever its called.
The company of a real, living, breathing human would be so nice right now So fed up of feeling like this, the stupid thing is that people have offered to go out with me and invited me round etc but I am too scared and low in confidence to do it. No matter how much I try and fool myself I have to accept that I will never be able to do all the things others take for granted and as for all the things I've already missed out on well its too late to even begin playing catch up Harsh truth is i feel my life is already as far as it can go. |

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
Tired. Having an in day after yesterdays shenanigans. Did get a phone call from an OT who asked me some questions and we had a chat about the long term care plan/situation re. my dad. She said she was surprised that he ended up in residential too. Told me not to worry that she was on the discharging team and that they would get the social worker to reassess and hopefully get a nursing home placement. I'm not holding my breath but at least they get what i'm on about and agree. What a total mess that social worker has created for everyone.

Still tired and burnt-out, also my legs ache from over-exercising while I was off work yesterday.

^ That's tough Muggins Maybe it's just that she has no experience of depression and anxiety so doesn't know what to say?

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
well done Blushing
Muggins-don't beat yourself up, you might have said too much before meeting and working out if she is someone to trust opening up to. Or as fantastical said. Millions of other woman who would respond well to someone opening up like that. You also don't know if there is like some imaginary conflicts when you do have a half-sibling. As one could look down on the other as having one inferior parent. Or there was some family secrets in the past that they know about and are cagey about. |

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
Had a stressful morn at animal sanctuary, my sa seemed to be high. Too many ppl and not enough space plus a really furious cat to add to the mix.
Yet another social worker rang me twice this s'morn, seems Tracy (the original s.worker) isn't going to show her face. I met her briefly at the hospital today as well. She was all 'i'm so sorry you've had a bad experience'. She is now giving me some choice as to where my dad goes (as should have been from the beginning). The original care home now has the hump because I haven't automatically said yes to them.*sigh* I'm glad it's evening and to be in the house and away from it all. |

@muggins, sorry to hear that re your half sister, I know that would make me anxious and upset too. It takes a lot to open up. Spent an evening in floods of tears. Work is systematically killing me at the moment and no one knows how bad I'm feeling. So fed up and lonely. |

Re: How is everyone feeling? (31)
I think this is very unfair, if you're on holiday they should accept you're not able to attend and arrange it for when you're in. I know that my sister needed to go in to work oon her day off to attend a staff meeting.
