Hello Everyone
Hello to all fellow anxiety sufferers. I am 53 and feel that I should have got on top of things by now, but quite the opposite!!

Re: Hello Everyone
Hi Sophie, I'm early 50's as well, I haven't got on top of it but feel a bit less anxious due to feeling more invisible. I accept myself a bit more too.

Re: Hello Everyone
Hi Sophie. I've been posting here for years but started a new account because I'm embarrassed about my old posts. I'm in my forties and have had social anxiety all my life. I had always thought I would simply grow out of it but in recent years I've realized that I'm never going to change. Acceptance is key, and I've decided to try and accommodate my anxiety rather than fight against it. Life has improved since I decided that but it can be pretty lonely. But I know I am far better off without friends because people just terrify me and by forcing myself to socialise I was just traumatising myself for no reason. Anyway, I don't mean to go on, I just felt like venting for some reason. Welcome to the forum.

Re: Hello Everyone
Hi bluebear. You replied just in time because I was just about to delete my message out of shear embarrassment. I feel heard and validated, so thank you.
