Met Office yellow weather warnings have been issued for parts of the U.K. for snow tonight!

It'll be interesting to see whether there is any snow, or whether most places just end up with rain or sleet.

Just watching Soccer Special and it's snowing in West Bromwich at the West Brom v Man City game, so hopefully it will move over to here soon. Raining here at the moment.

Judging by the pitter patter outside, I'd say its still rain here in Northamptonshite, lots of snow in the West Midlands I hear and at the West Brom - Man Utd game.

Still no sign of any snow in my area.

Seems to have eased off here now. Only about half an inch, and melting as the temperature is just above freezing. Still looks nice, though.

The snow has turned back to rain here now and what has settled is slowly disappearing.

Here, the rain and snow cleared overnight and left a slushy covering in places, which has since frozen over. A bit tricky if you're walking or driving in areas that haven't been gritted.

Made the most of the sun today. Glorious, not a cloud in the sky, that lovely cold, crisp air with the winter sun, makes a refreshing change from the mild, rainy eyesore that's normally gracing the morning view this time of year.

Bitterly cold here with a heavy white frost.

Scotland, Ireland, North of England, (Central, Tayside & Fife, Grampian, Highlands & Eilean Siar, Northern Ireland, Orkney & Shetland, SW Scotland, Lothian Borders, Strathclyde) Potential serious situation regarding wind speeds predicted tomorrow night in to Friday, mean wind speeds on one of the models (EURO4) is off the scale in km/h for NW of Scotland coast and NI coast. Also GFS(P) another model shows wind gusts in excess of 93+mph will be 100mph+ gusts with ease with this system.

So sustained hurricane force winds (85mph) for coastal parts of Scotland, these systems are unpredictable though and there is another 4-5 runs of models until the event so it could shift further north and not effect the UK as much or shift south Bringing Northern England and NI in to the worst of it. Who knows, atm.







Red warning from the met office maybe, already up to amber. @_@

Good luck to anyone who might want snow tonight going to be patchy in places but it could happen anywhere in the South West really as well as the Midlands and Scotland will take a pasting no doubt!

Then fun and games again tomorrow night with another storm.
