I'm assuming it's an indicator of one's expected sweat levels during this heatwave.

Perspiration ting.

Those are tears forecasted for when you remember it's still summer. The clouds are fart humidity levels.

It was legit scary. 46C and not even cooling off much at night (I saw that it stayed at 33C overnight), and then the threat of fires from the drought. Idiots were lighting fireworks in the neighborhood behind us, and I keep panicking about the trees possibly going up in flames behind my apartment. Ugh.

Here in my area it's gonna be 31ish for the next few days? Been making sure to water my plants every morning!

^ Those conditions are scary, absolutely. Were you not in the US at the time? I still can't believe how hot it got into Canada's interior. Records not broken but smashed.

Lol, don't get me started on fireworks. Hate. HATE the ****ing things.

^Yeah, the very last summer there I had to live through. Of course it was crazy But now I'm here!

Fireworks are so flipping annoying. I think my dog would get out of body experiences on the 4th of July. Poor guy.

So I guess Buckinghamshire has the hose pipe ban??? I was watering the garden in the front and my father in law ran out and started yelling at me about it. Like how tf am I supposed to know if no one tells me? -_- I hate living here so much lol

Lol, yeah, now that you've experienced that i guess it puts our little hot periods into perspective!

Our dog gets into a right state too. Not so much now i don't believe because she's losing her senses and mellowed, but the many times we've had to keep watch of her through the night, for days (fireworks night isn't just one night, lol) - because she destroys things when anxious - it's just exhausting. Fireworks are a very obvious display of humans being reckless and not giving a shit about the environment... (still!) It kinda blows my mind they're still a thing, but then nothing changes and then you consider everything else.... and you become completely jaded with it all... and moan about it on the internet

Aw, that sucks. I'm sorry it's not working out so well for you with your living arrangement. Is moving out gonna happen any time soon?

God, I am yearning for some cold, damp air. I would pay £20 right now for a heavy downpour followed by a week of bright sunshine and a cold breeze - cold enough to see your breath. I can’t wait for some crisp autumnal days. I am visiting Oxford in October and I keep imagining an Oxford coffee shop or book stall with blue skies, crunchy leaves under foot, the smell of woodsmoke/bonfires, and nice cold air. I hate the heat. I hate, hate, hate it.

That's so sad! My dog would just lay on the ground while they're going off. First he would freak out and try to paw me for attention, then just bunker down in the bathroom and lay flat. D: It was really sad! The last year I had him though, he went fully deaf and the fireworks didn't phase him anymore. I feel so bad for people and pets who can't handle it.

Thank you. I have no clue yet. In best case scenario - November, but in worst case probably Januaryish. Just worried about everything that's happening... But I keep eyeing the rentals on rightmove, and there's some rentals that would be perfect for us. I should hopefully be working soon and I'll just push for it then.

If there is going to be a hosepipe ban in your area you will get a letter about it from the water company, also it will probably be all over the national and local news lol. So you're likely to hear it from somewhere.

Aww, yeah, i've seen and heard of that sort of reaction before. Christ knows what's going on mentally for them, but it's not good. Who can tell the effect on wildlife too and as you mention there's also people suffering mentally.

Okay, not too bad then. If not November then you've only got a little way to go til January. Did you not expect things to be a bit awkward with the living situation and his parents being a bit 'traditional' in their ways?

I guess I expected it, but really thought we'd be out much sooner. Between the time that I applied for my visa, and to now, so much stuff has happened to complicate things. I do have a decent amount saved up as well as him, but we want to at least be stable with having a job. He has a good one, but I've been waiting for mine (I just got my BRP a few months ago, but for over a month now I've been waiting for his work to let me apply - a lot of stuff has been happening with them and I hope they aren't yanking my chain here).

Ah, i forgot about all the 'in the way' stuff that you've posted previously about. What's the hold up with this job? Are you looking elsewhere too? You don't want an 'eggs in one basket' situ.

I know right? That's exactly what I said at one point. :< I think I could probably work at any grocer really, since I have so much experience. I've also been checking on Indeed every now and then (BTW Mondelez is looking for chocolate tasters now if anyone's interested LOL). I'll keep waiting, but maybe give it a week more because his new manager is on vacation, and this is right after his previous manager was on long vacation and then moved stores (hence why it's taking so long to get me in ugh).

And honestly? At some point I think I just need to say "Okay, let's just go anyways." Because I can do art commissions on the side as well, so I mean there's that. P: I'm also not that bad at drawing furry art which supposedly gets a lot of money LOL... I just hope things don't get desperate enough that I have to do NSFW artwork oh my god hahaha

Oh, so an annoying spate of coincidences has kept you from beginning work. Lol, maybe you should just turn up one day and pretend you've been given the job, like George did in Seinfeld - fake it til you make it

Another one here pissed off with inaccurate forecasts. Monday, which was predicted to be lower mid 20s, is now moving between 27/28. I was really hoping to start the working week with a cool day, but hey ho. At least it's going in the right direction.

Still no rain here. Maybe tomorrow, although it seems to keep scaling back on the forecast (now it's saying light cloud and possible showers). It is very much reminding me of Australia, the landscape, with the ground being so parched, all but the trees. Really hope it pisses down some point soon.

It looks like it might rain, it's just turned all grey outside. I'm starting to believe that clouds have forgotten how to release water.

I felt a little drip on my elbow earlier.

I'll walk to the shop. That'll make it rain.

Hehe I've got one on the ceiling that hasn't moved for 48hours.

I wonder if it's waiting to shed its exoskeleton to become a big arse spider.

Storms forecast for 5pm.
