@Mo34 Crikey! I would have had to change my kecks after that

Cor, it's windy out! It's bin day in Tubbsland and someone* in our street's wheelie bin has clearly toppled over, for I can hear tin cans clattering. Making a right old racket they are! Looked out the window just now and saw rubbish strewn across the street.
*Quite possibly ours, but I'm not going down there in my nightie to chase after it all. 🙈

^^ Thinking back to the time I chopped up a dildo and put it in the rubbish, I'd have had a sleepless night if I heard a bin topple and didn't investigate

^^ Same here. The flat I'm in now is really cozy most of the time so I don't need the radiator on in the bedroom (other rooms are heated). What the heck is a snood? Oh one of those, I used to used one of them when my neck was really painful. I'd rather be warm than cold...

Tonight it's a balmy 3.8 degrees here.

It did, I found it a bit nippy in just a t-shirt.

I like watching tornados.

It's lovely out

Well it was if I hadn't spent 30 mins trying to get (drive) out of my village. It's getting beyond a joke now.

Gonna take the dog for a nice relaxing walk in the sunshine with not a car in sight

It was. I've spent the last couple of days shredding papers that we collected over the years. Pretty depressing. I spent ten minutes or so in the communal garden for some air and time out.

I don't think we're getting snow or anything here, but holy cow it feels so cold. I just want the freezing weather to stop so I can garden again!

It was -8 this morning when I was heading out to work,...eventually.

My kitchen door was frozen solid, so it took me ages to get out of the house,
When I eventually did manage to get out, my car was SO cold, it wouldn't even start,
I had to pour buckets of hot water over the bonnet to try and warm the engine enough to allow it to start.

Urgh,. I hate trying to get out and about when it's this cold,
But it looks good, plenty of sunshine and clear blue skies.

^ woah! Scotland is extreme!

Has your front door ever been frozen shut before? Imagine having to call up work to say you can't go in today because you can't open the front door.

^^ And there is the reason Scottish people are so strong. Us soft southerners would definitely given up and not left the house in those conditions!

Where I am we've had nothing but a tiny bit of sleet.

I'm quite handy, so I screwed a big pull-handle onto it and got both hands on it and kept pulling till it finally opened,

it happened last time the temperatures went into minus 8 or 9 so I had an inkling it was going to happen again.
I managed to finagle a big strong pull-handle from my workplace the day before ,
